I have a Domino w/blue weave cf on the truck right now. Probably won't make it here until next weekend, but I'm actually excited about it. It'll be my first Spydie. Not really sure what took me so long. We'll just have to wait and see how much it tickles my interests to know if there will be more Spyders in my future.

Either Southard or Domino with blue weave. Have a week to decide and having a really hard time doing so.
Thank you for that. I wish I could handle them both but where I live(Israel) I'm lucky to handle ambitious and even that sells for above $100 belive it or not. So I have to rely on YouTube reviews and help of good folks like you on the forum. I might eventually get them both but right now can only afford one. I really do love the looks of Southard but find a slicer a more functional as I'm not a heavy user. I allready own a PM2 and Yojimbo 2 so maybe its time for more refine knife.I had a hard time with that decision too, so I bought both. I'm glad I did. I love both of them for different reasons. They are two very different knives. Both are great smooth flippers but that's where the similarities end.
The Domino is a thin blade with a flat grind that slices incredibly well. It also has amazing ergonomics thanks to it's well thought out handle design with the 50/50 choil.
The Southard is a thick blade with a hollow grind that achieves a very fine edge but is better suited for wood processing, carving, and utility type of work. Plus it's very cool looking. The Southard handle fits my hand comfortably, but it does not exhibit the ergonomics that you get in the Domino.
If you can find a store that has both near you I would suggest holding them might be the best way to decide. Or...buy both...can't go wrong with both..![]()
