What to do

I need to be better about posting them in general. I've been staying away from general but I will get back in there

these vary John, but all are extremely close to your specs or larger.

well...a series of knives super simple, rugged, functional, and with some nice scales...scales that are rustic looking with figure but wont break the bank so you can keep prices low as you branch out to other forums...what knife pattern is the easiest and cheapest for you to make?...then have all of us post everywhere we can...get the name out.

I'm in there too, though I don't often carry a spyderco (but they don't know that).

I've been trying to get on Instagram, but I can't seem to do it. I know I've got to do it from my phone, and I did a password, but when I try to log on it does nothing. I'm kind of a dumbass when it comes to this kind of stuff.

HAHA, my cousin makes fun of me calling this place knifestagram, because I'm always taking pictures of my knives to post here. Plus, he knows how anti social media I am.

So, I don't want to be rude in any way, and maybe I am just missing something, however when I go to the JK website and click on the link to the webstore there are no items listed. And if I go to the bladeforums link in JK's signature there are three knives total listed... which if I was looking to purchase a knife, doesn't give me a whole lot of options to choose from. Maybe the big problem is accessibility. I am not sure if what JK wants is more custom orders( if this is the case than please ignore everything else I said), or just more sales of "stock" knives, but I think his website definitely needs updated. I think everyone's advice so far in this thread is good and hopefully JK knives can have the success they are looking for. I personally really like some of the JK designs and the prices seem very good. I like the "working mans" knife more than most other knives I see posted for exuberant amounts of money.
Good luck,
Bruce

Not rude at all. I've pretty given up on having knives in the webstore, when I did they just sat there. I am going to delete that page from the site. As for the link in my signature, there were 7 knives there, I got tired of them not selling, so I put them up for auction. I've also posted quite a few knives in the exchange, without any sales or even comments. If you are really looking to buy one of my knives I usually have 8-10 for sale late each month.

I should mention there will not be a big sale this month. Besides my full time job at night, I just started a part time day job, so no real time to make knives that may or may not sell.

John...this is some of the redwood like I sent...I am not a knife maker but made this playing around. I will post again when it is finished...what finish do you use on your wooden scales?

If the kitchen knives I am making work out I'm going to use some of that wood on them.

You gotta email me what went on?

They simply did not care for my knives, I was not one of "the good old boys" over there. In the time I had my forum I only sold one knife. I also had a 6 month knifemaker's membership on USN forums, did not sell a single knife.

wow, surprised to hear that. Seems the hot ticket now a days is that show "Alone". You just have to talk one of the guys from the local group here to get on the show and use one of your knives. :)
