What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm super happy that it all went well.
Hope you're up and running around soon... push through the rehab, but not too hard. 🤠:thumbsup:

Thank you, Jack. :)
You are right John . I , and many of my friends agree , Do Everything they tell you to do plus a little bit more . I know that many of you folks have gone through and I expect that most of you will agree that sometimes it is B----h , but it has to be done . I just could not go through another Spring like the last one . I think there are probably many people going through the LITTLE FIXES , when they should be doing the Big Fix . My next door neighbor is one . It is a PUSH , as you have suggested .

A buddy of mine inherited a lot of knives and guns and this was one of his lockbacks he asked me to sharpen for him. A sweet old Remington. If you know anything about this knife please share with me!!

I love seeing that slip every time you post it.; it’s very cool. 👍 Your team has been on a roll here lately. I’m a Giants fan, just hoping they can hold off the Dodgers til the end.
That’s a beaut 👍
I had these with me today. View attachment 1644928
I don’t know if I’ve told you this already, but that chestnut bone looks great. They do a nice job on that.

They just hit 10 in a row. Our teams may be seeing each other in the post season.
Thank you for the slip compliment. I love it. The guy who made it for me is also stationed with me and has said he would be willing to make them for others. I would handle the shipping and you provide the glove material. Just throwing that out there for you.

Thanks Todd. I would say your two are a bit more useful
Thanks buddy! 😎👍
Thank you, Todd. :)

Great pair, Todd. 🤠
Both are beautiful in different ways.
Hope you had a good day at work, my friend.
Thanks John, it was a crazy day that’s for sure! 😎👍

Thanks for the offer. I still have my first base mitt from little league. Problem is, it’s a Wally Joyner mitt. I’m not really looking for a Wally Joyner slip 😄 and I still use the mitt. I’ll keep it in mind though if I find another glove around. A glove slip would probably be cool even without a player’s name. He does nice work for sure and the double stitching is a nice touch.

The idea for a slip made from a glove came from here on the forums. I don’t remember who it was, but it was made from a Dave Parker glove. I picked up an Ozzie glove from the bay just to have the slip made. It helped I had a local maker so I could have face to face time to explain what I wanted.
The double stitching was an idea I had to give it more color and make it feel “Cardinals” to me.
I love baseball, obviously, and would gladly help other baseball fans express the same passion in their carry. Keep it in mind and let me know…even if you like the wrong team 😉🤣

The pup looks happy. 🤠

Today

Nice dog just be careful about giving it them chews iv alsgot a pit and I hear they can brake there teeth on such chews because of there strong jaws .just a heads up

What a sweet pup Mason is 🙂

Hey. Your dag is chewing up stag knife handles!!!

Thanks guys !!! Mason is an easy keep and helps me maintain a respectable retirement activity level.
Mason turned 10yrs old on Sept 18th. He has chewed antlers for a long time now with no problems, but a broken tooth could happen ... with antlers, bones, any hard chew or chews that teeth may get caught in. My old dog Sugar broke a tooth years ago on a bovine bone and she wasn't even a heavy chewer.
Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund ... I had to laugh out loud at your comment Jeff :D ... truth is, some of the Elk chews I get for my dogs IS better looking than some stag on knives I have D'OH.

I'm carrying two knives gifted to me, a few years apart, by my dear friend Duncan 'The Legend' Campbellclanman Campbellclanman :) The first is the 2011 Traditional Sub-forum Knife, which Duncan took out of his pocket to send to me. For me, that kind of gesture represents what The Porch is really about :) The second is a Lambsfoot made by Needham Brothers, which Duncan obtained for me with the help of our beleaguered Man of the Hour, Barry gunstockjack gunstockjack . Thanks for all your kindness over the years Duncan, and good luck Barry! ;)
