What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks :) that really is confusing. If I had just bought that and did not know any better I would swear I owned an O1 tool steel blade. Maybe O1 was not around in knives back then?

I don't think they were really in production knives, most likely just custom. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though?

My CASE SBJ, I haven't carried it for awhile and wonder why that is---it's a great EDC:thumbup:

Got myself to finally order this beauty (just minute ago). It will be birthday present for myself with some cubans! :)

I know you guys are probably tired of seeing this knife. I just can't keep it out of my pocket.

I never get tired of seeing this knife, such clean lines. It is definitely YOUR KNIFE Vanguard! :D

I like to keep this one shiny. I keep a light film of oil on both blades, and if I happen to use it I oil it when I get back home.
Surprisingly when I bought it, the original owner had it since it originally came out and was handled quite a bit of times and didn't even have tiny specs.

Yep, 1095. Queen did a great job with the steel on this. I wish they used 1095 and not D2 honestly.

It's nice to hear a bit more about it. I don't know much about Marbles folders.

It certainly WAS around then, though I don't know how widely it was used.

Having a change today :)

(That's a pre-1952 Thomas Turner of Sheffield penknife)

great knives,I have owned two. Bear trap springs doubt this will ever let you down

Yes, he definitely builds them to last!

Belerofan26 - The pattern is called a Puffin and is made by a maker called Shing over her in the UK. It's about the size of a GEC #73.

You can completely take the knife apart which was handy for me as I got the knife off the exchange and it needed a little TLC. The walk was rough so I stripped it completely to find indents in the backspring caused by a combination of lack of oil and over zealous backspring. I spent a half hour smoothing the face of the backspring with wet and dry as well as the curves on the blade tang before stropping both. Once reassembled and oiled things were vastly improved.

It also comes with a handsome set of stag scales.
