Here's today's carry, less the pipe. I was going to try and snap a picture outside but it's 5 degrees F and I don't like "cold steel" in my pocket. ;)

C'mon Gary - don´t worry about the cold steel in your pocket. (After taking my pic, I carried my knives in my jacketpocket :D )

Well Andi... If I was smart enough to have a jacket on....
So far my outdoor excursion today has been a mad dash to fill a couple of bird feeders.

Oh boy, oh boy, that 86er is a real WINNER

Why don't we have such wonderful Schrade or Camillus old-timers here in germany :(
Do you know, how lucky you Americans can be ?

lovely lockback Elliot. I like the subtle line on the bolster. That combined with a nice, clean grind and topped off with tasty stag! Cherry anyone?:)

Sam

Thank you, Sam. I came across this lockback lumbago knife on Joel's table at the Blade Show a couple years back. It's a real beauty and the images don't do justice.
(My buddy Steven put in an order for one as soon as he saw mine at the show.) The only visible difference now is that I have a lanyard on it and it's been sharpened to taste.

I like that Copperhead... how old is it?

Today, I've switched it up a little Queen 5" toothpick, D2 steel and cocobolo covers. This is such a sweet carry... don't know why it doesn't get more pocket time than it does.

Mid 70s I believe. It's got the best snap of any Case I have.

Thank you, and yes I am also thankful for the embarrassment of riches when it comes to finding these beautiful tools.

Something different...a Higonokami. Traditional Japanese folder. Sanmai construction. Rustic but functional and really really sharp after a couple of passes on the stones.
