Celebrating the Bucs narrow victory, I see. :D:thumbsup:

The knife gods have been smiling down on me lately and I was fortunate to pick up this gem. The action on this knife is among the best I’ve ever experienced and it’s got so much soul I can’t get over it. I’m extremely lucky to be able to put this user in my pocket and it’s a fine example of an ancient from Carlie. Cheers gents

Our Chief’s Call to Initiation kicked off today. I figured the Navy Jack knife was perfect for the occasion.
I think you figured correctly, but that beauty is appropriate for almost anything.

As a young 'un I could only dream of a street like the one where I live now, which is covered in conkers at this time of year Steve :D Sadly, the only people I see ever picking a few up these days are middle-aged, conkers lost out to X-Box et al

That's a shame ! :(

No chestnuts around here, but I often go to the forest preserves to pick up hickory nuts. The best spots are where the grounds are mowed under hickory trees. Which means the walking trails are close. Most avoid me as if I’m a crazy homeless guy, but some ask, as I’m standing under a hickory tree, “what are you looking for?”

“Apples”, “ acorns”, “gold coins”, are some of my wiseguy answers, but I usually just say hickory nuts. Zero competition except for the tree rats.

Does Conkers involve trying to hit each other in the head with chestnuts? That sounds like when we’d stand fifty feet apart and shoot bb guns or bottle rockets at each other.
