Thank you most kindly, Jack!!! They definitely make a nice couple! :)

You are certainly well set for an afternoon of whittling with those grand tools; the classic Mora is an exceptionally cool tool!
Thank you very much JJ, I enjoyed using the Mora, it really takes a great edge :)
Toting a Case Hunter from the late 60s and a super slicey Mam from Portugal. :)
That's a beautiful Case my friend, and those MAMs certainly are slicey!
We went into Blue Ridge for all of the shops, etc...
My daughter tagged along with me while the grand daughters went with my wife. The owner of Blue Ridge Knives, Dennis, was a friendly guy who insisted on giving my daughter one of his shirts. He also had a child with Down Syndrome.
Even though there’s no secret handshake, it is a very special club.
View attachment 1659885I don’t think Dennis was familiar with a Lambfoot, because he spent a minute or two looking mine over. And though he did have a nice Case display, I’m pretty sure the majority of his sales are not traditionals.

Nice look up a valley from a roadside church cemetary...View attachment 1659884The Lambfoot earning it’s patina cutting avocado, lime and cilantro for guacamole.View attachment 1659886

Delightful double stag carry, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

Three interesting knives there GT, I always enjoy seeing your Colonial, and that Case is a stunner  I don't think I've seen that RR Melon Tester on sale over here, it'd make a good Sausage Stabber too! :D ;)
Happy Friday Eve Everybody
Is that new John, or is my memory failing me? Nice
Big ‘Yella got a fresh edge on the main blade last night. It had some sizeable bites out of it, but I love the way this old steel grinds and takes an edge. I would wager it’s sharper now than it’s ever been. Backing it up is a fancy old schrade boy’s knife.

btb01 btb01 making a great, simple gumbo is quite easy. PM me sometime for tips.

Thanks, Joey. I’ll do that.

Nifebrite is fun ... makes me feel young. Can abuse this bullnose a little and feel good about it, Farm and Field afterall. Easier to Flitz than worry about wiping off moisture. Much needed rain popped out a few shrooms.

Nifebrite is one of my favorite materials GEC uses. I hope they’re not done with it; I think it’s been a few years since we’ve seen it on anything.

Today I have to change my plans as this arrived this morning, thanks to Barrett aka btb01. 😀👍
First impressions are excellent, razor sharp from the box (in fact sharper than CPM154), great feel in hand, F&F like BFK18. 👍
Gonna be user for sure!

Looking good, Alain! (Of course, I may have snuck a peek before forwarding it to you, so I already knew that.) 😁

Thanks for the info, Barrett! Since so much of my life has been "virtual" for the past couple of years, maybe I don't have to actually go there in person. Just bring up the logo on my computer, hold up my Black Angus knife, and take a photo - Voila!:cool: 😁 Like the old Ma Bell long distance phone ads used to say, "The next best thing to being there!"

😁😁 I have to say, I’m glad no one went that route in the Earl and Pearl threads. 😉

I’m still carrying my #86 Angus Jack. I really didn’t expect to like this knife as much as I do.

Have another pair from my maternal grandfather today. I have posted before, but he was a farmer, and a hard working one. All of the knives I have from him are well worn, and I love them for that. They remind me of his character every time I look at them. From what I can tell, the 8ot was the last knife he purchased, as it is in the best shape. The boker has seen better days, but the blade that's left is still sharp! Happy Thursday to the Porch.
