What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My new GEC 85 SFO in red bone I got off the forum. No pics yet, but it is a great knife.

That was certainly an impressive find. If I had got there sooner... I'd certainly like one of them myself as it's an allround great. In the absence of bone, I have to endure my natural stag variant :D:D

GEC need to issue more of these in bone and a micarta would certainly look wonderful on this single blade knife.

Thanks, Will

My new Ben Hogan pattern from GEC. The stag on the reverse isn't as pretty as the top (often true, actually), but overall, great knife. I'm happy. Just need to sort out a pocket sheath or something to carry it better.

I have a Ben Hogan in primitive bone. The reverse side is nowhere near as nice as the front.

I love that pattern, tho.

Little Robeson and a big case cv wharncliffe copperlock

Paul,

Those CV copperlocks are nearly as hard to find as hen's teeth. And the SS models are not that much easier to find either. I like them a lot.

Will, I know exactly what you're going through as I'm having to endure stag covers on my new to me 66 jack. With patience and fortitude I think I can manage mine though. Good luck with yours. :)

It's definitely impressive. I'm happy though, that the original owner already used it and "broke it in" because I usually hate starting patina on new knives.
I wish GEC would start making the 85s with the shorter matchstriker pull and a two blade EO. :D

Hello. This is my first post in "Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades" so I thought I would make it count. This is my custom wharncliffe with koa scales from Ken Coats. (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...uot-Book-Em-Dano-quot?p=11757572#post11757572) This is truly a beautiful piece that I just got in the mail yesterday and I took it on a short hike to Kiholo Bay today. I really look forward to carrying this one and spending more time in this part of the forums.

That's a spectacular start welcome in!

Nice shot too.

Today I'm 'enduring' more GEC stag, this time on a stainless Conductor, acorns rule!

I had stopped in Ken's shop just before he shipped this knife. Very nice clean work!
Congrats and enjoy your time in Traditional's,
