I would love to get inside GEC’s super secret Bone Room to see how they create these.

Bruce Old Hunter Old Hunter , thank you for your compliment in a different thread. My office always supplies us with the latest I Phones, and the cameras keep getting better and better. I just point and shoot then frame the photograph! They are pretty much idiot proof. Through trial and error, I have located a couple places on my property where the light conditions seem to be ideal most of the time.

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox , thanks. It is a mug my wife bought for me in Santa Fe a few years ago. I will try to use it in my photos again.

Posted these in the RR thread and thought I’d carry all three today just for the fun of it. (They don’t take up much room.) Barlow, peanut, and small stockman.
...
Nice smooth white bone trio! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
White lightning doesn't strike thrice?? 🤓

Toting a couple of yellow jacks today. :)
...
I'm always compelled to acknowledge your fine mellow yellow pair, especially the triangular shield!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Carried this #36 and the #73 today. Had to pull my belt a notch tighter.😂😂
...
Head-banging heavy metal pair! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

...
Ebony Lambsfoot and friends today.
...
Tremendous tool trio, Mike! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Enjoying seeing all the forum knives showing up (and the recent Miles Davis content ;) ) :) Got my Charlie Lamb with me today, and the Case Barlow JJ Cahill JJ Cahill gifted me recently, as well as a Mora 110 to do a bit of whittling later. Have a good day everyone :thumbsup:

W😲W! Three Aces, Jack!:thumbsup::cool::cool:

I've always liked RR's Smooth Tobacco Bone Gary :) I have the same knife, but the bone is lighter in colour :thumbsup:
Another great lineup Gary, the tobacco bone stockman looks fantastic!😎👍
Thanks, Jack & Todd. :) I've had both light and dark versions of the smooth tobacco bone, and while the lighter bone is fine, I much prefer the darker ones. My most recent ones arrived courtesy of Todd! 🤓 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I watched a video of a bloke celebrating Leif Erickson Day! :D Dressing up as a Viking, getting sloshed on red wine, and arguing with crows/ravens looked like fun! :D ;) :thumbsup:

There's a holiday I rarely celebrate; sounds like I don't know what I'm missing! o_O 😁

Pair of distinctive knives, Alan! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

The definition of the Oxford comma includes the word penultimate.
Which, like decimate, is in grave danger of having it’s meaning co-opted by people using them to mean “even more ultimate”, and “even more devastate”.

I am guilty of being on mental cruise control when using commas, and I’d have to go back and look to see how I usually do it.🤪

That’s amazing that you’ve got omnivorous dog(s)!!!

And thank you for your well wishes, Gary!
Your vacation is giving you time and opportunity for all kinds of mental connections, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: 🤓
Since decimate means to destroy a tenth of some group, I wonder if there are similar words for wiping out other common fractions like half, third, quarter, fifth (maybe "double decimate"? ;)), and so on.

Hahaha... I posted a "Lamb on a Post" in the Guardian thread yesterday. ;)
I'm trying to catch up with the Guardians thread, so I finally just saw (on Friday) the post you mentioned! 😁:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I like your Stockman, GT. 🤠 :thumbsup:
Looks like a nice slim and comfortable carry, and the yellow is very cheerful.
Thanks, John. :) That was a generous surprise added into a trade I did several years ago.

...Gotta go. Girls finally woke up and want French Toast.
Enjoying all your vacation photos this week, Jeff! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
I'll let you know if I ever wake up wanting French Toast; you sound like the man to talk to! 🤓

Belated birthday greetings to the US Navy, ED! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
What did you order as a Navy Birthday meal at the Wagon Wheel Cafe?

New to me knife day. First ever TC Barlow thanks to @Fixall .
...
Congrats on the TC Barlow! That sawcut Osage Orange looks sensational! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

...
Ps this post needs a Navy Knife in the picture - my two WW-II Imperial Navy-Coast Guard jackknives. I’ve gone and put the gumfuddy handled one in my pocket.

Phenomenal pair, Bruce! :cool::thumbsup::cool: Lot of these Navy knives being posted lately, and they sure are a pattern that "floats my boat"! 😁

Nice look up a valley from a roadside church cemetary...View attachment 1659884...
Outstanding view for mid-October! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I picked these two out for tomorrow. Another Ohta with a drop point and some drop dead stag, along with a Wharnie made by one of our own, zuluninja. CPM-S35VN and Cocobolo. The sheath has a crocodile overlay, pretty cool.
...
That Ohta ... Oh My!! 😲 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I like Spears but as a single blade they're not that easy to find.
...
Will, that is a first-rate knife with gorgeous stag! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs sometimes the dogs just won’t stay in one place. I do like it when they are in the background though.

:thumbsup::):thumbsup:

... I brought my Gibson along on this trip, and glad I did. At 66 years old, it’s sounding better than ever.View attachment 1660121Hope you have a fine day.
Cool shot of your guitar, Jeff! :cool::cool::thumbsup: Given its age, I'm guessing it was made in Kalamazoo, MI, right?? One of my uncles, my Mom's baby brother who was about 12 years older than me, worked in the Gibson factory for a while after he did a hitch in the Army.

Just for you, GT. :D

That Copperlock is drop dead gorgeous. 🤠 :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
I appreciate the "post from the past" picture, John. ;)
Thanks for the compliment on the mini copperlock. I really like the Case CV chestnut jigged bone series, but those Rogers walnut bone knives with the quad-lined bolsters that they released several years ago are very appealing, too.

Back to the Jack, and a thrifty little RR mini canoe. Have a great one!😊View attachment 1660138
Notable pair, Todd! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thrifty Thursday!

Distinctive knife, Rachel! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
I've never handled one of those. Does the yellow rectangle have a function, or is it purely decorative (which I suppose is a function, too :rolleyes:;))?
