Bruce Old Hunter , thank you for your compliment in a different thread. My office always supplies us with the latest I Phones, and the cameras keep getting better and better. I just point and shoot then frame the photograph! They are pretty much idiot proof. Through trial and error, I have located a couple places on my property where the light conditions seem to be ideal most of the time.

Johnnythefox , thanks. It is a mug my wife bought for me in Santa Fe a few years ago. I will try to use it in my photos again.

The definition of the Oxford comma includes the word penultimate.
Which, like decimate, is in grave danger of having it’s meaning co-opted by people using them to mean “even more ultimate”, and “even more devastate”.

I am guilty of being on mental cruise control when using commas, and I’d have to go back and look to see how I usually do it.

Since decimate means to destroy a tenth of some group, I wonder if there are similar words for wiping out other common fractions like half, third, quarter, fifth (maybe "double decimate"? ), and so on.

Thanks for the compliment on the mini copperlock. I really like the Case CV chestnut jigged bone series, but those Rogers walnut bone knives with the quad-lined bolsters that they released several years ago are very appealing, too.
