Three interesting knives there GT, I always enjoy seeing your Colonial, and that Case is a stunnerI don't think I've seen that RR Melon Tester on sale over here, it'd make a good Sausage Stabber too!

Thanks for the positive feedback, Jack.

You have wonderful navy knives, Jack & JJ, two of many posted in the past couple of weeks!

I agree, Barrett.

Splendid pair, Steve; that Keen Kutter Kattle Knife is a Knockout!2AB and a KK Cattle knife

Congrats on the Frontier jack with the enchanting etching, and kudos to Jim for his generosity!I carried this Frontier serpentine jack. It was thoughtfully gifted to me by @315 after some talk of the Dekalb signs I have from my Grandpa’s farm.
...
It’s got the cool blade etch to match the signs.

Your stag HHB and ebony TC are fitting tributes to the fertile minds of a couple of our most illustrious Porch People, Jack!... Carrying my Hartshead Barlow, and an Old Friend today![]()

Very cool knives this week Gary. They all look very picturesque to me!![]()
I see what you did there, Todd, and what you were going to do there, John, and I appreciate it!Todd stole my comment, so I had to go with something else.![]()

Such a great sunrise shot for this thread!Sunrise in NH with the Gec 21

It's a desirable little knife, and would probably work with any blade shape. I really should assign it, as is, to a week or two of kitchen duty so I can learn some of the pros and cons of the cotton sampler blade.I still wish they had done one of those with a different blade.![]()

Not so fancy, but definitely fascinating!Not-so-fancy Friday

Have another pair from my maternal grandfather today. I have posted before, but he was a farmer, and a hard working one. All of the knives I have from him are well worn, and I love them for that. They remind me of his character every time I look at them. From what I can tell, the 8ot was the last knife he purchased, as it is in the best shape. The boker has seen better days, but the blade that's left is still sharp! Happy Thursday to the Porch.

You gents are fortunate to have those priceless family heirlooms!Received this one from my grandmother several years ago. Apparently, it belonged to her brother and he carried it every day. They and their other siblings all spent their entire lives in Texas, so I guess it's fitting he carried a Texas toothpick.

More engaging photos; thanks, Jeff!Check out day. 881Y and a jack by Emil Voos.View attachment 1660738People in Georgia are really nice. And they really try to accomodate folks with disabilities.View attachment 1660739I don’t drink, but so many of you include alcoholic beverages in your photos, this is for you.
Judging by the name, it’s probably pretty rank swill.

The other wss steeply uphill and a tangly mess of roots and rocks. Once again, I was very proud of my daughter.

And thanks for the pithy words to live by!

Welcome back, and congrats on that handsome acrylic Conductor! It's been awhile since I have been here, I stopped collecting for a few years and just used what I had. But on a recent trip to Pennsylvania, I decided to stop by GEC and picked this up. I was told it was the last one and it has an 'S' stamped on it, but I can't find anything wrong with it. I had forgotten what it was like to pop open the tube when you get a new GEC knife. Man how the landscape has changed with the popularity of GEC lately, but I'm sure that gets discussed here enough already. Going go carve a pumpkin with kids tonight, still enjoy the pics everyone posts and have great weekend.

Congrats on the well-preserved Queen Barlow, with its beautiful bone and unique bolster shape!BF Rope knife and a new to me Queen Barlow
