What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Made a pastrami sammich...left the mustard on while I ate it🥰

Apples, pears, mustard, engraving, putting knives in pockets and cutting stuff with them…some men just want to see the world burn!

Case does have production quality issues, no doubt. However, when you are able to find a good one, they can be great. This Stag Sowbelly rivals a GEC knife. Tony Bose designed Case’s Sowbelly pattern, and although this knife certainly is not custom quality, it reminds me quite a bit of how Tony would make one.

This one has taken over my RF pocket, it is going to be there for a while. My trusty Powderhorn sits on the table next to me all day, so that one won't get jealous LoL, I just feel that I owe this particular knife some long term carry. When you got hundreds of knives to choose from, why does one come along that just tickles all the fancies?
You may never know the answer to your question my friend . You just carry it and enjoy it . The knife that I am carrying today feels the same way to me .

I’m looking at them all and asking myself when is enough enough lol. Red and Black was my favorite of the regular run.

I'm pretty much there these days, in my heart I know I have way too many knives, but then there is that next one that I just want to handle and check out. But the last couple of years, I have those curious acquisitions, and I have the ones that wind up being carried day after day for months on end.

Thanks a lot, Jack!!!

A pair of lovely totes for a day at the market, perfect for slicing some tasty confections; cheers! 😁
Thanks JJ :D :)

Nice pairing Todd :)
Plain Canoe this week is a Chinese Schrade 11OT (it's SO plain that it came to me with no sign of ever having a shield 😲) :

Fancy Canoe this week is a Rodgers Wostenholm NKCA Gunboat canoe (thanks, Tony):

Is the Schrade new Gary? That Gunboat is a great piece of history :)

For my first GEC-sponsored road trip, I took the Calf Roper to Cloudland Canyon last week. Bill says I've got to start taking better pictures if this sponsorship deal is going to work out. I'll upload some shots of the 'GEC-the-World' camper van next. (I'm kidding with all of this, of course. Bill loves my pics.)
Stunning pic :)

Great knife and photo my friend . Your Yorkshire Pudding is making me hungry for one .

Harry
Thank you.

Only frozen ones but they tasted nice,Funny but but I was thinking about the home made ones we used to have as kids.

When we lived in Yorkshire my mum was given a recipe by a local,it was made in a baking tray (like a cake almost) and slices cut out.

Originally it was made as a filler for hungry/poor working people, sometimes eaten before the meal a bit like when you are given bread in a restaurant and are waiting.

I am going to ask my sister in law to make it old style when I visit at Christmas.

Not what started out with, but what a way to end the day! Just collected the Forum Knife 2021 and it could be the first, certainly not the last to touch down outside the USA.

As it's already dark here at 18.00 the picture is mediocre but the knife is not, I don't generally go for a large Barlow type but the aesthetics and finish on this have altered my viewpoint.

Finally, while I gibber with glee...a lot of thanks are due to those in the background putting this altogether, the mods surveying it, the dealer-who received some extremely malicious and ill-thought out venom from some who like to set great store by the 'porch' . In the foreground, many thanks indeed to @BrotherJim who very kindly forwarded me the knife and would hear of absolutely no compensation in any form, Jim endured a lot of worry he's not used to the saga which is International shipping these days o_O I am and remained sang-froid:cool:

Great Expectations fulfilled
