What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Holy Cow!! That's choice! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

The KA-BAR was an impulse purchase. I'm thinking it might be a good one to keep in the car.
...
Holy Cats!! That wrench knife is compelling!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wholly Different!! That's very distinctive!:cool::thumbsup: Do you pocket-carry that, Jack? Do you use it like a normal knife, or reserve it just for "cleaving situations"? When chopping with it, is the pivot point of your swing your wrist or your elbow or your shoulder or your waist??

Holy Toledo!! That's a terrific KA-BAR! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Holy Hannah!! Honorable pair, José!:cool::cool:

I bet you never thought you'd see "Merle's" backside, huh...and what a tattoo!🤣

Holy Mackerel!! That engraving is magnificent!:thumbsup::cool:

Been attending plenty of events around a family wedding on Friday and Saturday, carried one of my ceremonial knives, a Case Mini-Copperlock with stag handles. OH
...
Holy Matrimony!! Marvelous ceremonial knife, Bruce,:thumbsup::cool: and I really enjoy the story behind it (if I'm remembering the correct knife and story ;)).

It does move fast doesn't it Gary, The Porch is a pretty busy place these days :) Nice back-story to your Imperial Stockman buddy, thanks for the kind words, I hope you're having a relaxing Sunday
Holy Crap!! Fast is an understatement; my head spins with the speed! 😲 Thanks for your remarks, Jack. 🤓

My new favorite. A 74 Gary.View attachment 1666601
Holy Grail!! Your #74 is gorgeous, Alan!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Thanks for correcting me on the ID; after your "penny for your thoughts" photo, I could tell it was not a lockback and quickly found it on GEC's site.

Thanks Gary, I actually enjoy the game more now that I don’t play so often. It makes me appreciate the people I’m with more than the score. When I play with buddies, we always mess with each other, cough during back swings, step in each other’s lines, stuff like that. Nobody goes low, but we laugh A LOT! 😊👍
Holy Smokes!! Sounds like you guys have a great time, Todd!:cool::thumbsup:

Interesting insights regarding golf and the alleged enjoyment thereof. If one’s enjoyment is in proportion to one’s level of skill, that would explain why I have always thought it to be a collossal waste of my time. 😕 I always thought there was a fork in the road of life ~ golfing or fishing, The choice was easy🤣
But if you’re theory of enjoyment being dependent on skill level is true, then how does anyone manage to stick with it long enough to get good at it?😜
Wholly Accurate!! Jeff, I think for me, it's a matter of improvement, rather than absolute/objective skill level that determines my enjoyment of an activity. 🤓 I was hopeless when I first started playing golf, but I gradually improved over many years, and really enjoyed that. But once my skills started deteriorating, it led to a lot of frustration. On the other hand, I've always been horrible at plumbing repairs and never seemed to improve, so I've never enjoyed that activity! o_O

My Cost Per Stroke was much lower than most of the people that I ever played Golf with .

Harry
Holey Socks!! That's a good way to look at it, Harry.:cool::thumbsup: Towards the end of my golfing days, I was certainly getting my money's worth! 😁

My “Game Day” box. Going a little over the top today. In my neighborhood the Bucs/Bears game is almost the Super Bowl. I’m surrounded by Bears fans and they are out for blood! View attachment 1666626
We’re going to a well known place famous for their Buffalo chicken wings to watch the game, can’t take the box, so I will only have the SAK in my pocket.
GO BUCS! 🏴‍☠️View attachment 1666631
Holy Guacamole!! That's a grand box of goodies, Todd!:cool::cool:

I used it this morning to look for something in the church basement. It has a pale, moon-like light, but a surprisingly long throw.

I finally got a buck 302. I'm surprised how beautiful it is.
...
Holy Cross!! Congrats on the capital Buck, and thanks for the additional "report from the field" on your inspection beam.:thumbsup::cool:

Nice trio, Gary! Love that Stag JJ Martinez!👍
Wholly Involved!! Thanks for your support, Dennis!:thumbsup::cool:

You're absolutely right Gary, mine just came today; great call!!!
Holey Swiss Cheese!! Glad you're happy with that Victorinox folding paring knife.:thumbsup::thumbsup: I had mine for quite a while before I realized that it has no back spring, just friction folder with liner lock.

My most carried knife for the last 6 years. (and bottom photo of when it was new)

Wholly Successful!! That knife is sensational, both "before" and "after"!:cool::thumbsup: The stag 73s from 2015 always grab my attention.

Holy Heck!! That picture is certainly worth 1000 words, Jeff; totally clarifies why Pt-Luso Pt-Luso 's bi-color SAK has "Kingfisher" written on it!:cool::thumbsup:

I'm having a Mother of Pearl Monday.

Holy Roman Empire!! That pearl trio represents a lot of history!:cool::cool: Could you please give us a recap of the tang stamps? (Especially the Union knife on the left; I can't figure out what the "BUTOC" means (and I may have most of those letters wrong ).)

Yep. Gotta go with Texas home team. Boston is the "Evil Empire"!
Holy War!! I hope you enjoy the World Series, Vince.:thumbsup::cool: I'll be rooting for Atlanta to win their first Series in this millennium.

38 Orchard Gem, Charlie sure knows how to get great jigging from our friends at GEC!

Holy Hand Grenade!! That's mind-blowing jigging on your Orchard Gem! 😲

Inspired by today's posts and as light fades into a glorious Thursday evening ...
I decided to go with a Cherry Wood Chairman Series Chuck Buck Solitaire and Spring Street Barlow

Beautiful knives...also, based on your previous posting history I'll also admit I spent more time that I care to admit looking for them on the walls of the shed and on the surrounding bushes in the picture of your dog...🧐

Thanks, Gary. That's Union Cut.Co. Olean N.Y.
Chipaway (one of many E.C.Simmons' brands)
and W.H Morley (one of many Kastor brands imported from Germany)

I'll carry the Morley today, along with something shunkly. The four leaf clover stamp on the back side of the blade represents, I think, the four Kaster brothers.

I do Gary, it's pretty pocketable, with the sheath just fitting into my 5.11 'knife pockets' ;) I don't really chop with it, except from the wrist, as it's not quite big enough to chop properly, but I've used it for a variety of things, in addition to cleaving a sandwich of course :D ;)

Love the topographical stag on your Hartshead, Jack. 🤠
It's like a 3D map of the Sierras and the Rocky Mountains.

TGIF Porch Friends... Hoping you all have fun plans for the weekend.

Looks like it's time to refill the paper clips...
Thanks a lot pal, looks like you're having a mellow yellow day :)

That's such a coincidence, I woke up thinking of your shunkly Barlow! :D

Nice pairing Todd :)
Thanks Jack, and the HHB is looking as good as it always does. 😉👍
The lighting works well for that picture... it has a spooky glow to it. 🤠
Thanks John. 😊👍

Nice shot John. Since Google Classroom, my paper clip consumption has gone way down! 😄👍

To me, it doesn’t get much more classic than a Case yellow delrin trapper or mini trapper in CV, especially for a cowboy knife.

Nice shot John.
Thank you, Todd. :)

Alt Ed is keeping the paper clip factories in business.
It's ridiculous what they make us do to track our students attendance.
Basically we have a monthly form for every class they are enrolled in, we have to have samples of their completed work for each class (graded, dated, and signed), and a student engagement log that they fill out and sign (a nightmare to collect)... That works out to about 20 pages of documents for each student every single month, just for attendance. That's around 60 pages a month and 600 pages a year? And to think... I didn't want to be a Special ED teacher because I thought they did too much paperwork... Lol
