What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

First of three Western 66's on the way to me arrived today. Got another L66 and an F66 yet to arrive.
Honestly the only reason I got this one was for the sheath. The L66 still on the way has an aftermarket sheath but the knife itself is in better shape than this one.
So I'll mix and combine. However, this knife while obviously neglected, appears to have been little used. Tight blade guard, very pointy and maybe less than 5% blade used, if ever even resharpened.
I sure won't mind using this knife when I might be reluctant to bring out the pristine Randall or Ruana I have.
So ... going through the bonding phase with the new arrival. Pretty much will just put an edge on it and call 'er done. Good ole 1095 carbon steel.

These arrived yesterday from a Master's bench. I asked J jsdistin to rehandle a GEC 71 Bullnose and 13 Clerk with English Yew and Olive Wood respectively.. For the Clerk he added Rat-Tails and inlet a beautiful shield, the results are astounding, my photo is poor due to the lack of daylight now but you'll get some idea.

Thanks, Will

That 71 is a beauty. Nice recover by J jsdistin .

Yes, I fixed it finally. If I don't get used to it I'll have to change back.
It was always a small mystery in the back of my mind... did he have fat fingers, or was there a mysterious meaning.:p

I’ve never owned one, but often admired those Colorado made knives. Looks great, Jim!
