I just love the fact that we have a Space Force. God Bless America! 🤠

Grandad carried the Western on Okinawa in WWII. I carried the Kabar and Victorinox during my time in the Marines. Today on Veterans Day I’ll carry the bone handled Camillus. Happy Veterans day to all of you and thank you to those that support the troops.

Last night while watching the telly I filed down the wood on this one until it bended into the bolsters,a bit like the forum knife.
I used the file on my original LM wave.

Today in between things I smoothed down the wood (using Abranac cloth),it now feels real nice in the hand.
The handle rivets are perfectly smooth better than some GEC I have seen.
Then I smoothed of the rivet heads and bolsters.

I cleaned and oiled it again then applied mineral oil, when that dried I put a few coats of Danish oil on the handle.

It is carbon and very sharp its developing a patina, the half stop is very accurate..

Out of the box it was rough and ready hence the low price but it was ready to work,I just enjoy fiddling.

Strange but I am as pleased with this as of any of the other far more expensive knives I own.
To me its a pure working class of a knife designed with no frills and just to cut,oh and no blade play either.
