What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I brought the little Esee fixed blade along with the forum knife today.

Hope the Cake Cutter got put to good use today. ;)

Carrying the same two today, I saw no reason to change... shocking, I know.
Thanks pal, a winning combination :)
Toting a WWII era Signal Corps Robeson and recent version of the tough Buck 110. :)
Classic Robeson JJ, a very attractive example of the pattern :) I like your recent 110, really cool

Hope everyone has had a good week :) Got my Hartshead Barlow back in my pocket today, and an Old Friend, in the form of my Needham NAAFI Knife

Another beautiful morning and another fireside photo. This time with my new small Texas Jack. It arrived yesterday afternoon. Can’t show the blade yet, it’s still “naked,” needs some patina! 😉👍
...
Chestnut bone and patina…water and photos…these things are made for each other. 😊👍
Congrats on the new Texas Jack, Todd!:thumbsup::cool:
I didn't know that pattern was available in chestnut jigged bone; I'll have to rethink my opinion on Texas jacks. I've always loved the shape of the Texas jack pen blade, but I've gradually become quite prejudiced against square-bolstered knives and almost never buy them any more. But the appeal that CV chestnut jigged bone has for me probably trumps that bolster prejudice! o_O 🤓

Beautiful Lamb with excellent stag. 🤠
Thanks, John. :)

I have been following that advice also since I read so many people on the annual bladeforum knife thread saying, and I am paraphrasing, that there are so many trivial comments from people who do not contribute. But so many great knives and interesting posts that I feel compelled to join in.

Thank you Gary!
You should be more than pleased as they are beautiful as well as functional, I love the canoe collection as well as all the others.
I appreciate your encouragement, Dave. :) I tend to be quite tolerant of any comments people want to contribute; if I don't like a comment or think it's trivial or whatever, it's easy enough to just scroll past it. If all I want is knife photos with no exchange of opinions, I can just go to dealer sites.;)

Terrific trio Gary :)
I do have one of those Gunboats my friend, it was a thoughtful gift from @scrteenedporch :)
Starting my week off with a Double Lambsfoot Day! 🥳 🤣 Have a good one folks
...
Thanks, Jack, for the compliment and for confirming that my memory isn't totally dysfunctional (yet).
😁
I'm impressed with the way you doubled down to start the week!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That is a VERY handsome horn lambsfoot, Kevin!!:cool::thumbsup:

Quality quartet Gary :)

Carrying my Waynorth Lambsfoot, and a Random Tuesday Issard Violon today :)

Stunning damascus mini trapper, Mike! 😲:cool:

I gave mine to a pal, but still have the cards somewhere I think :D :)
...
Black Jack is back, as is my Hartshead Barlow ;)
...
I think my deck of Schrade knife cards is as close as I get to having "salacious" playing cards. 🤓
Speaking of cards, a pair of Aces is a metaphor for your carries!:cool::cool:

Today in my pocket with this old French Bargeon knife in stag.

That's an exquisite knife with its golden stag, José!:thumbsup::cool:

I've got a feeling I'm going to be carrying this one quite a lot. 😀

W😲W! Superb job of reprofiling that secondary blade, Rachel! Your Pony Jack has classic style!:thumbsup::cool:

View attachment 1678358Wednesday is a good day to tote whittlers and wood.
My latest TL-29, a four line Camillus. I have put a razor edge on it, but still need to flush it out to clean up the blade well.
A Schrade 804 given to me by Half/Stop, and one of my Wengers, a Backpacker II.

3 winners, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice wood doodle. I may have to try that.
It looks like M.C. Escher has been whittling at your house. 😁 Pretty cool 👍
Isn't that wood Möbius strip an amazing bit of whittling?:cool::thumbsup:
I can't take credit for it, though. WhittlinAway WhittlinAway carved that and sent it to me.

A very lovely Canoe, GT. 🤠
Love that beer barrel canoe Gary. 😎👍
And it's on a post! 🤓
Thanks, John & Todd. :)

That Case folding hunter is a Beast AND a Beauty!:cool::thumbsup:
Did you modify one of the blades? That spearpoint is cool!

Today I carry this Victorinox in stag.
...
You're a fortunate man, José, to have a SAK with grand stag covers!:cool::cool:

Those are both handsome knives Gary
I'm grateful for your supportive comments, Jack. :)

Thanks Gary. I didn’t know it came in Chestnut either, it just popped up and I snagged it. A couple days later it’s big brother popped up so I snagged it too! 😄Things tend to come in bunches. 5010790F-3408-4895-BEFC-8A5A6BC46D02.jpeg

I have neither of these 2 patterns, but one thing that always comes to mind when looking at a knife photo here, is “could that serve as my only knife?” Either of your pair probably could. Well, ok... along with a Swiss Army knife or maybe an electrician!
3 winners, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Gary!
Today's carry.

(excuse me for not being able to decide which picture i liked best.)

😉 Your comment made me smile. That happens to me as well.
Anyway, nice shots of accessories fit for a man’s pockets and wrist.
I think, if she asks, I should ask my wife for a space pen for Christmas.
