Closed length is 3.63". I like it a lot. It's just a bit small for my hand, but that doesn't stop me from carrying it regularly. Having multiple blade options is nice.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I've always thought it was just black synthetic plastic. That's what Case calls it. Imagine being able to go into the jungle and cutting synthetic, plastic, ebony wood with a double bit axe with a synthetic/plastic ebony wood handle and making knife covers/handles to your hearts content.

Sweet knives, mine is 20 years old and the deep blue is wearing into a green/white hue around the edges and I love it!
