Nothing's busting through that slip. ;)

take 4 feet off the bottom of the tree

Just a little wider and it could have been the Griswold family Christmas tree…🤣

Rich and ED beat me to it... take some off the bottom... the kids will never know. ;)
As much sense as it would make, cutting some off the tree was a “non-starter” with the Boss. 🤣 No ornaments yet, but at least the lights are done. 👍

you have some smart kids. They know that accommodating awesome Christmas trees is the only practical reason for 17 ft ceilings.😄
BTW, whenever you need help painting or fixing a ceiling fan, I’ll be busy.🤣
I hear ya Jeff, when we built this house we were much younger and the high ceilings at the time seemed cool. That was a long time ago! 😊👍

Beautiful tree, Todd. I think the boss was right ;)

This is what happens when you let your kids help pick out a tree when they know they won’t be home to help decorate it. Lesson learned! 🤣 (That’s an 8’ step ladder)View attachment 1695598

My Lambsfoot and new 71 WILL be around to help if needed. 😉👍View attachment 1695599
🤣 That happened to me one year but I was the guilty one that picked it out lol it was so wide I almost couldn’t get threw the front door and It was so tall it wanted to fall over and did once as I heard my girl friend screaming my name across the house as it crashed. So had to attach it to the ceiling with a hook and rope .To add insult to injury I forgot my razor sharp saw and had to use theirs when I cut it down. It was so dull it wouldn’t cut butter on a hot day and took me almost a hour to cut it down as I learned curse words I never knew existed.
Oh yes a lesson and Christmas I will never forget lol.
Thanks for sharing it brought back memories some good and some bad 🤣
