Luckily you don’t raise dairy cows like my wife’s uncle. He got his first vacation off the farm at about age 70 after selling off the cows.
If I recall, they went to that touristy trap with the big mouse🤪

No kidding! Dairy farmers get no rest. Beef cattle are much more self sufficient, allowing for some time off here and there. I’ve got one more weekend getaway planned, then the cows will start calving and it will get busy again for a while.

Since I'm gonna be carrying this one a lot, I decided to give the "clean" coping blade some protective patina. The clip main was already nicely patinated from the previous owner. I dabbed on some Chinese mustard and let it sit for about 10 minutes, then rinsed it off. Still very uneven, but it will "gray out" more evenly with time.

I did that with my Remi then decided I didn't like it,so polished the blade and started again to get a nice even un pushed grey.

5 minutes in the sun thank you, I took my cap of to get the benefit, it was cold very cold on my hands.
But I feel safer outside, the flat white tastes better and I like the fresh air

I had been for a haircut so I was like a plucked chicken.😁

I was looking for homeless in a different part of town but understandably they had gone to town.

In other news 2 beauties have arrived from the USA (sadly not playmates), I seem to have traded a knife that's not UK EDC friendly for 2 that are even less so 😀

Looks great Jeff. 😎👍

Schrade.
Schrade is always a solid choice.
You’re the only porchster that I can recall totin a big 858!

Well, my car ought to be a Ferrari, too, but that doesn’t make it so.

You are getting a little loosey goosy with the rotational rules, my friend!🤔
😁

See, now everyday going forward is a gift.
Back in 2012, I received a fatal diagnosis twice before going up to Mayo where they’d seen my peculiar malfunction before and could name it and treat it. It really changes the way you look at life.

Don’t apologize for tending to a sick mother. ;)
Unless she’s really mean!😆

Well, I tried that. No go. Manny looked at me as if to say, that’s not food.

There can be beauty in a gray day as well as a sunny day, but the sun sure helps your photography. Nice little piece of walnut there.
Hi,
Thanks, in fact I am more motivated when there is a ray of sunshine. In the humid grey we don't want to linger and get cold by staying static to take pictures. And sometimes it also depends on the knife(s) in the pocket, some take more light than others.
Have a nice day
