Been a bit busy lately with family in from Maine and Oregon. Then catching kids up on missed school work since we let them take off while they was here. And dealing with a trans leak in my brand freakin new shelby. Frustrating but it happens. This Lloyd been with me often lately.

Sorry to hear about your mom Dave :( It's certainly easy to lose track here, I hope Lyle is well, and that it won't be too long before he's back on The Porch :) Thank you for your kind words my friend
Thank you Jack.
See, now everyday going forward is a gift.
Back in 2012, I received a fatal diagnosis twice before going up to Mayo where they’d seen my peculiar malfunction before and could name it and treat it. It really changes the way you look at life.

Don’t apologize for tending to a sick mother. ;)
I'm so happy to hear that a fatal diagnosis (2 times !) was treatable. That would change the way anyone looked at life after that experience.

I appreciate the sentiment and well meant gesture Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund I left a lot of friends hanging and dropped off the earth when I should have kept in touch. 12 hour work days along with 4 hour classes when my Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, it got a little overwhelming. She was a nurse as a career and loved by everyone.
I'd carry that again and again Dave :)

Thanks a lot Paul, gorgeous jigging on that terrific piece of history  Great knife

Simple friction folder by Juha Perttula. The handle is birch colored with lampblack and oil. Carbon steel blade. These knives have been around since Roman times and medieval period, it is the original folding knife, the only modern feature is adjustable pivot. Sharp too, I sliced by accident a microscopical piece off my thumb, thin enough not to draw blood.
