Rainy day coffee break
LOL This is Hungarian smoked pork breast / bacon, namely Kolozsvári szalonna, made in Békés, I received today along a few sausages and various season sweets. Typical transylvanian winter food, cut the slice like a rooster's cockscomb, melt it over a wood fire, spread it on white bread and eat it with a violet onion and a strong green pepper... and forget about dancing later!Really intrigued
Going to make an idiot of myself now but that can't bother me or anybody - what IS that stuff??? I'll guess Smoked Eel which is fatty but very tasty. Trying to question a Gaul about foods is madness I know, but as is said in a Clint film " I gots to know"
Regards, Will
When I was a child, the family in Yougo would kill a swine every year and send us some lard and sausages and bacon. The parcel traveled by train... the last time we were allowed to receive foreign meat, the postman knocked our door, handed a greasy parcel, because some had melted during the travel. He just told Dad : never again, please!LOL This is Hungarian smoked pork breast / bacon, namely Kolozsvári szalonna, made in Békés, I received today along a few sausages and various season sweets. Hi sir, I actually won this slip in a giveaway on Facebook. The gentlemen who makes them does not sell them and this was his first clip-slip he created so I consider myself lucky to have it. It rides extremely low in the pocket and disappears thanks to the deep carry clip.Like it.
Where did you get the slip from and how is it in the pocket?
Beautiful 62 Gus, love that DLT leaf shield.Slithering in the darkness of winter, yet comfy and cozy indoors…
