Have a nice day :)

Boker linesman/electrician and 54 Big Jack.
Enjoy the day, folks!BB3EDDD9-56BF-440E-8264-7E94AE808481.jpegI don’t have any Christmas knives other than red SAKs, because I always figured I wouldn’t carry it the rest of the year. But that reminds me of a July a few years ago.
My daughter and I were in the old Chevy Caprice, and as usual, I let her pick the music. It was either a cassette tape (an antique recording medium, kids), or maybe a CD.
And as usual, we had it cranked up a bit. So, there we were at a stoplight in Rockford, with the windows down, with Christmas music going loudly, when I suddenly became aware of the other drivers all around. What could I do but smile and wave?

Not good for fixing fence though
Nope... then it's time to switch to leather.
that's a cool pic, love your new Spidey!
Thank you, Jack. :)
My poor wife has to put up with a Christmas tree that has an odd mixture of traditional Christmas ornaments and Sci-Fi/Superhero ones.
Wonderful picture, Jack. Love the seasonal background. 🤠
Great Peanut picture. I wish I had the eye to create such nice settings. 🤠
Cool knife... Cool picture. 🤠

We got a new puppy (Olive) on Saturday!

So I’ve been busy with that. We’ve got a 1 year old boxer (Elwood) and he’s been “helping” too.

Don’t know why my pics go sideways these days?
Anyhow, I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee and getting up a lot at night to let her out. Fun stuff, but worth it.

Knife today is my Tiger Eye Acrylic Improved Trapper. I traded this to a pal and he decided carbon steel wasn’t for him so we traded back.
I’m real glad to have it in the box again. Such an elegant design.
When I hear Tiger Eye, I don’t think of that song from Rocky…
I think of the Sinbad and the Eye of The Tiger movie from my misgotten youth. Computer graphics ain’t got nuthin’ on claymation skeletons fighting with swords!!!

Happy Monday!

I went into town looking for the homeless, it was a good day.
I found Lenny (been looking for him for a week) and kitted him out with boots, gloves, socks etc.using the chair I brought along as he's disabled, yet stands out in all weather selling the big issue..
Then walked around town and kitted a few more out including two lady's.

I stopped for a bite to eat and a hot drink in the market,I used my cadet to half the sandwich I couldn't eat it all and took half home.
White hot chocolate called Casa Blanca, what a pun.

Everyone was grateful, I then drove the long way home looking for more people.

Next I kitted out the poshest sounding bloke ive ever met who was on a bike,I am always careful how I ask it could be a builder on the way home 😂

But these last 2 made my day,it was like a sketch from a comedy show.
Such nice blokes who looked after each other and shared.
One had been beaten up and the police had kept his clothes for forensics,he was wearing hospital socks FFS.
The other I said are you Army give me your number, which he did but it was his prison number and he admitted he hadn't served with a cheeky smile,I think he was just trying to please me.
When I got the chair out so his mate could try on the boots they couldn't believe it.I think its as much that you spare them some time they appreciate as much as anything.
His mate threw his old shoes straight in the bin they were way past worn out.
I helped one put on the jacket I gave him and was asked to lace up the boots which I also did as he only had one operative arm.
they where just so grateful and cheerful, they made me wish I could help them more.
The church community hall had opened next to us,they where going in for some hot food,it was quite a big queue which was a refection on the times we live in.
So off they went very happy for some grub.

Carrying the Schrade 80T Old Timer my passed Navy buddy carried. He wasn't much on sharpening but I've rectified that and this knife has a very sharp edge. He moved up here when he retired and we'd go to the Wagon Wheel Cafe for chicken fried steak together so, when I go to town tomorrow one of my stops will be at the Wagon Wheel Cafe for chicken fried steak. What better lunch to have on Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve, Day than chicken fried stead? Nothing of course.

Heck, I think I'll carry this right through Christmas. His widow is joining us for Christmas Day dinner so although this knife will be carried in my pocket, it'll give him a place at the table so-to-speak. Always good to have another Chief at the table.

It’s been a long, rough time since thanksgiving. Childrens behavior, wife had a endoscopy and I found her passed out on the kitchen floor during her prep for that, parties, kids functions, etc. I’ve been a bit bummed out which i hate because this is my favorite time of the year. But today, something clicked for me. It’s all good. Life will slow down a bit later this week. The kids will learn (maybe one day lol). The wife is ok, just a little sore spot on her head. And I’m now sitting down enjoying some Christmas music with this great BF saddle trapper that I got around Christmas of 2016, the end of a very hard year and beginning of my current life. Life is good! Merry Christmas everyone!

Good on you, Johnny. 🤠
I haven’t carried it in a while so I figured now is as good as any other time.
Making Todd jealous is a bonus. ;)
Your lambsfoot never gets old
Thank you, it's becoming part of my every day life. :)

Someone said above or elsewhere that they hadn't gotten a Christmas knife because it wouldn't get carried most of the year. Don't let that stop you; if you carry it through Advent you'll be yearning to put it away for a year long before Boxing Day.
