Very interesting and impressive! I’ll bet you have a beautiful property. Love those pruners, too.
Why do you dispose of your prunings rather than use them as mulch? Possible spreading of disease between plants? Just curious.

I would need a woodchipper or grinder to make use of the prunings as mulch. I have a total of 11 fruit trees, two large shade elms, six washingtonia palms, one jacaranda tree, and grape vines, all packed tightly on a quarter acre lot, and that quarter acre includes my house. I generate far more prunings than I could ever use for mulch anyway, and to do so would require setting aside some space in my yard for it. If I am going to use what little space is left free in my yard, it will be for more fruit trees; I am trying to get things set up so that I have fresh fruit year round, and I am almost there.

Thanks for the explanation. Clearly you know what you’re doing.
As I say each year as my garden expands, you can’t eat a lawn.

What a great image of you Eureka Jack, Mike! I'm having a hard time carrying anything else myself.

Thanks Gary. I don't know how long it's going to hog the pocket, but I have a feeling it'll be a while yet. I really love this knife! It's darn close to perfect for my pocket knife needs. The novelty will wear off eventually I'm sure, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts :)

Good day everyone. I’m carrying the TC today.

Looking good Kevin :)
Yes, it did come as a shock Mr. Jack and I thank you for posting the group photo. We had a fun couple of days there. For your only Primble knife, that is a very nice example !:)
Thank you very much Mr P, it's one I treasure :) I still miss Ron a lot, and know I'm not alone in that. Sadly, we never met, but I considered him a close friend, and we interacted daily for years. He was a real stalwart of the Guardians thread
Thanks Jack ! I hope Stuart is doing okay, I miss his posts
Me too Steve, I hope he finds his way back to us soon :)

They go well together Taylor, hope you're doing OK buddy :)

Looks like you're enjoying that birthday gift Rachel :)
A Wright Lambsfoot for the annual pruning of my plum, peach, apricot, fig, and mulberry trees and grape vines.
I have pruners and loppers from Corona, Felco, ARS, Bahco, Hickock, and Okatsune. My favorite is ARS, followed by Bahco. The Okatsune is a great cutter and would be my favorite if it had better handles.

In about a month I will start eating my tangelos

One of my three orange trees (all are valencia, which have much better flavor than navel). I won't start eating these until May, after which I will have an orange every day through October

Thanks kindly, Jack!!!

It's always quite a treat to see your amazing Primble; a worthy companion to your HHB, surrounded by those sweet treats! 😁
Many thanks JJ :)
Ran a few errands in town today. Haircut, petrol fill up and sundries from the store. My carry combo is easy on the hip and pocket View attachment 1717289
Cool pairing ;) :)
Heres a Schrade Walden Butter and Molasses 234K it's akin to the Old Timer 33OT in size. This is the original variation of Butter and Molasses compared to the more orange/yellow solid version they offered in the end. I like these covers much better.
This knife is absoulutly new but stored poorly. I clean, sharpened and oiled and put it back into service  Both blades centered in the well with no play at all when open, a great (SHARP) little knife.

Congratulations Paul, a nice piece of history :)
Toting Calf Roper and a Harness Jack which I grabbed after spotting Dave's beauty (@dave308ek.) :)
A striking photo of a stunning pair of knives my friend :)
Angus Jack and Pony Jack today. Got my test back and am positive for COVID again; however, I did get out of the house for some fresh air. Will hopefully be back to myself in a few days.

Hope you're better again soon  Couple of great companions there
Interesting choice Kevin

Nice one. 😁👍

If yours is like mine, the factory edge is 10DPS, according to my EZ Wares guided rod sharpener that has a 10DPS slot.

I gave mine a couple swipes to make sure the edges are even, followed by a clean (?) dry leather strop.

I might get a black ultra fine Arkansas stone, when the budget allows and give it a few light swipes on that, doing my best not to put on a micro bevel.

Is yours Czech 14260 Spring Steel?
Its made by a local blacksmith via the internet,he doesnt say what the steel is.
Its reasonably sharp enough,I was cutting string last night.
I think it works extremely well fingers on the blade handle in the palm pulling forwards as there is lots of control that way.
