What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I know the question wasn’t to me, but I’d like to give my opinion. I much prefer pocket carry. I find it to be much more enjoyable, and I am far more likely to carry a fixed blade with pocket carry as an option. I also do not wear a belt that often except at work. After some experimenting I also found that I wouldn’t go over 7.5” overall length for a pocket carry fixed blade. I hope this helps.
Thanks for chiming in, Jon. I also prefer pocket over belt, just seems most knives come with a belt sheath. I also prefer the more compact knives as they fit better in the pocket.

A wonderful old Jack, Jack. 🤠

I'm carrying my Usual Lamb as well as something for Tidioute Tuesday
That's pal, I like that pairing you have today
All the little fixed blades I normally choose from go with one or more of these sheaths. My choice between pocket and belt depends on where I'm going, and what I'm doing for the day.

Have these with me today. The Giant Mouse sheath can be pocket or belt. On my belt today.

That Solar Jack is 🔥, Jack. Very nice.

I'm baffled and confused, Jer. Just kidding, nice group today.

Going with the gunstock I recently picked up and continue to develop the patina he started. Thanks Todd.

I think 7.5" would be the max for me too. Mine tend to run 6.5" or less.

Most of the fixed blade knives I pocket carry came with a belt, neck or clip sheath. The aftermarket pocket sheaths I picked up really expanded what I could pocket carry. I do prefer the pocket carry also.

I completely understand what you mean about the sheaths the knives often come with. In the past it became something I would over think. See the picture below. It is a “belt” sheath but I use it for pocket carry. It works so well I stopped looking at aftermarket ones

Same here. The pictured Bark River JX6 pockets like a champ in the provided sheath from the factory.

Aces and eights... I'm not normally a big "engraving" fan, but, good grief, I like that.... both sides, just excellent!

I had a call from a lady from of the wildlife reserves I visit today.
She explained why they took away the seats I relied on,they hadnt thought of the impact it may have for some of us.
She said it was a good idea of mine to put trunks of fallen trees down for those who might need a seat.
So they are going to have a Recce tomorrow and see what they can do.
What a refreshing helpful, friendly attitude they have.

In other news I went to the supermarket and stocked up on essential outdoor supplies.
I found these one shot hot chocolate drinks which look tasty and a lot of different types of healthy bars. 🤣

Those two look great together John. 😎👍
That’s hilarious Jon, we might be getting a small amount of the white stuff here later in the week. I know how much you miss the white stuff. 😉👍
