Love the knife and the photo!

Agreed. My osage barlow goes into that slip every Wednesday.

Very nice, John. I almost didn't recognize this was yours with that different background today. ;)

I like it, Mike. I find myself torn between variety being the spice of life and being a creature of habit. Thankfully today is Wednesday and I get a little of both.

Thanks Jeremy :)
Love the sawcut Osage 😍

Carrying a little 10a initialed by the late, great Vic Hangas today. If you prefer fixed blade knives but also like to pocket carry (like most of us probably do) this is your knife. My personal opinion is that Vic never received the recognition that he deserved for being able to walk in Rudy Ruana’s legendary footsteps and continue to do the Ruana name justice. All of his work but especially bowies of his own design (meaning that Rudy wasn’t part of the process, not necessarily that it was a truly original design) like the SOG and 60th anniversary series among others speak for themselves about his incredible skill and artistry. Legend in his own right.1A52B296-8986-4078-AABA-0241CE63F1C1.jpegC39A98B9-35D3-4C16-B801-22AB0782200D.jpeg

l should clarify that I meant that most of us probably prefer to pocket carry, not that everyone prefers fixed blades 😄

Thank you JJ, Solar knives were made in Japan in the 60's and 70's. I think there was a Jim Parker connection, if I remember correctly
Very cool, Parker was certainly a ubiquitous player in the knife industry during that time!
Nice to see those two together my friend :)
Thanks Jack!!! They go together extremely well! :)
Have a good day everyone

That's always a top notch Barlow pairing; wonderful photos of those stellar beauties!

Minty, minty, minty Colonial Ranger Stockman. It was still in the blister pack when I got it from a guy on another forum last year. The blade etching is still pristine and the snap is so snappy the blades will guillotine your fingers if you're not careful! Tang stamp is Ranger instead of Colonial, so I don't know what that means in terms of its vintage.

I picked up a No.12 almost a year ago mostly out of curiosity. It’s now my wife’s favorite kitchen knife. 😁
That SAK has so much character, looks great. 😎👍
I wish I could claim all that honest wear!

Yes, that No.12 is a large “pocket knife”.I’m sure it’s a fantastic knife in the kitchen, and being a folder, it’s likely to stay sharp a lot longer. Even if it gets tossed in a drawer, nothing can bang on the edge.
