What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great looking canoe JB, I saw one that Gary 5K Qs 5K Qs 5K Qs 5K Qs posted and had to get one for myself. Perfect pattern for that wood and they’re a chunk! 😎👍
Thank you, Todd. I agree these beer barrel canoes are superb.

Coincidentally, I messaged with Gary, 5K Qs 5K Qs , some months ago when I was looking at canoes. He provided helpful information and advice, even mentioning this model, for which I am appreciative. I grabbed a few others from my local shop. Thought I had a family photo, but guess not, so have a reason to take one.

It’s been a long long time since I’ve seen a “round tuit!” Brought back some wonderful childhood memories. Nice! :)

It's been a long time since I've used a subway token, and I really miss them. Swipe cards just don't have the same spirit.

Somehow, I don’t see you being at home in the city!

Dog tags are sacred. You are issued a piece of metal with your name and other identifying information. It's cool. At some point you realize the reason you have been issued such an item. Suddenly not so cool. Carried this one for 47 years. Still do.

Made in the USA 🇺🇲

Thanks guys !!! I definitely am not home in "The City". Port visits multiple times to the Big Apple and once to Boston during my past military career. Most grateful for the visit opportunities.

New York is AMAZING. Statue of Liberty looked so small, out there in the bay, from atop the World Trade Center towers.
My last visit was after 9/11 and I traded ship's patches and Chief's Mess challenge coins with NYPD and NYFD for their patches. Never forget.

Some most kind Bostonians bought myself and a shipmate (liberty buddy) lunch and an adult beverage at the oldest oyster house in America. I also received a personal guided tour of the USS Constitution.
I was told that after the centuries and rebuild/refits, the only original part left of the USS Constitution is the keel. Below decks, a hatch was removed and I was allowed to examine and touch the keel.
The USS Constitution Command Master Chief gave me a USS Constitution Chief's Mess challenge coin that I totally cherish.

In a bar one night, a fella gave me the "Round TUIT" with advertisement for his business on the other side. I laughed and laughed, bought him a beer. It surely did bring back nice childhood memories.

I had a preconceived notion of "Yankees" and was completely wrong. The people I found in Boston and New York were honest (sometimes brutally LOL), open, warm and friendly. And very patriotic.
It isn't for the people at all, I couldn't live there. I just don't thrive living is such a populous area. Wasn't the way I was raised, with a dirt road a mile away in any direction. Even growing up on a dirt road until they finally paved it.

Forever tied by blood and service, mine AND my father's tags ...

D'ya suppose if enough people carry green and/or dress in green, the ones in charge of the weather will release Spring early?
Retaining the Weidmannsheil hunter green lockback. Changing pocket carry to a Rough Rider RR1057 and RR106 "A Stroke Of Luck" large Stockman and Canoe.

Sorry, you’ll have to talk to Phil. He will render his final decision on February 2. ;)
