What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'll take a leaf from r8shell r8shell 's book and carry this today, even though one of the blades is worn so the spring sits low and the point stands high, and there's just enough tension to hold it in position. EC Simmons Keen Kutter with two tang-stamped main blades. I think the fully open one was ground a little differently than the half- open one, but I can't be sure.

Maybe one flat and one saber.
Very nice!

Same Bull nose carry today as yesterday. Got a mild patina started at the Wagon Wheel Cafe cutting the crust off the Ruben sandwich I had for lunch as my bite and chew are limited. Was gonna have Chicken Fried Steak but the Ruben won the battle.

Those F-P Pockets are I find, a very useful size and being discrete lockback is an added bonus. Bigger Lags, 12 13cm I find just too big for the pocket. Fontenille-Pataud has its detractors but I've always found them to have superb build-quality and very good customer service, pleases me anyway.

As for speaking French...I can read it more or less fluently, speak it hardly anymore and can understand spoken French depending....If I go to Paris it's really hard especially with young people but go to the South or Belgium and I don't seem to have these problems, Parisians :eek:o_O🤣 But then, people going to New York or London could have problems understanding the English there:cool:

Ask Jolipapa Jolipapa about the 'correct' pronunciation of Laguiole...there's controversy about it even in France I understand....;)
Will, did I say something wrong or do something that hurt you??? 😺😂😂😂

it's really hard especially with young people : neither do we, especially those from the inner cities (which are in fact mostly suburbs), slang changes constantly. 🤔

Parisians : 😱 true if you mean country-people-living-unwillingly-in-Paris, they believe that you need to show a gloomy face to be a true Parisian. Paris during my youth was still a collection of villages, each with a character of its own (and sometime his slang or accent) and where people new their neighbours, but the 70s closed the factories and built large hutches for newcomers in place.
In my small district (Grandes Carrières) population was multiplicated by 20 or 25... while the 10/12 factories around my home vanished. You had to walk a good 1/4h before you find a restaurant. Now there's one every 50m with kitchen from allover the world!

Just to show : my Grand'ma' house in wood in the 60s, she lived on 1st floor (top), ground floor was a rag-dealer. 205.jpg

Today. I wonder how many inhabitants were born and still living there?

Maybe you can file the kick and get that tip safely down in the well. It really stinks when a proud tip slices a fingertip when you reach in your pocket.
I really like that pairing, Jon... Both are wonderful. 🤠

Gorgeous Diamond jack. 🤠
I tried so many times to land one of those without success.

I'll be rooting for the Bengals... Cinderella Story. :)

I'm glad it's back on duty again. I'm curious how it's going to age with use. 🤠

That's just a fabulous jack. 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

And my Eureka for Fun Friday, Thank You Taylor. :)...
Looking good John, aged Micarta looks great. 😎👍
For some reason, I have a hard time thinking of this as "Mustard." Looking for alternatives... Honeycomb? Gold Nugget? Harvest Gold? Anyone? Bueller? 🤣
