Will, did I say something wrong or do something that hurt you??? 😺😂😂😂

it's really hard especially with young people : neither do we, especially those from the inner cities (which are in fact mostly suburbs), slang changes constantly. 🤔

Parisians : 😱 true if you mean country-people-living-unwillingly-in-Paris, they believe that you need to show a gloomy face to be a true Parisian. Paris during my youth was still a collection of villages, each with a character of its own (and sometime his slang or accent) and where people new their neighbours, but the 70s closed the factories and built large hutches for newcomers in place.
In my small district (Grandes Carrières) population was multiplicated by 20 or 25... while the 10/12 factories around my home vanished. You had to walk a good 1/4h before you find a restaurant. Now there's one every 50m with kitchen from allover the world!

Just to show : my Grand'ma' house in wood in the 60s, she lived on 1st floor (top), ground floor was a rag-dealer. View attachment 1730528

Today. I wonder how many inhabitants were born and still living there?

🐈‍⬛🏛️😻 Amusing, interesting and sobering. As the Buddhists believe, change is inevitable but doesn't mean it's always better or always worse. Incredible picture of your Gran's home and generations of folk may have lived there timeless from say The Revolution till the 1970s. Is that a Citroen light truck/lorry?? When you were a kid Traction Avants must've still been a common sight-perhaps ignored? And then Goddess DS 19 gliding around...dreamland

The new building you show which replaces the old is still elegant & stylish curves compared to some minimalist horrors though.

Thanks, Will
