You are well armed carrying those two!!
Thanks, Jack. It’s interesting you mention flushing out the joint. The action was smooth at first, then got really gritty, so I flushed out the joint. More gunk came out of this knife than any I’ve had before. It had a different smell, too. Maybe different buffing compound. Anyway, it’s smooth nowCongratulations!Hope you'll come and join us in the Guardians thread
Don't forget to flush out the joint, and if you need anymore advice on breaking-in, check out the Guardians thread index, linked to from post #1

First one. I had been resisting and didn’t know what to get or where. But I could only resist so long. I’m sure the blade will work well for me. A straight-edge blade seems to be the most useful for my daily needs.I didn't know that you did not have a Lambsfoot.
Hope you find the blade shape as indispensable as I do.
Thank you JJ, a generous gift from DuncanThat sounds (and looks) great, Jack! Thank you very much!!!![]()

Thanks for the correctionThanks Will, but this one was a standard Tidioute from 2013. I think you may be thinking of the TSA SFO from 2019 (knife on the right side in this picture).

Superb duo, always liked those Queens in D2. Is that BEM or Walnut?
We should all study that Jigging carefully, it's a reference point. It also shows how supreme Jigging or Stag can get short-changed if it gets an end-cap stuck on it. Barehead for preference in my view.
Can’t wait to see the salt water patina!I was nearly totin being washed out to sea today
I thought I would christen my my knife in the Atlantic Ocean north Cornwall.
I watched how far the tide was coming in for 30 mins, then laid my knife down at the end of the wave,
First wave it went well, then the second wave went over my feet knocking me off balance.
Before I had time to retreat the 3rd wave cave in and hit like a train,up to my knees I very nearly went face down.
But didn’t retreat until I could grab my knife it was all but buried just a bit showing,a panic moment waiting for the wave to go back.
I grabbed it and got out, water and sand in my boots I squelched back to the car.
Then changed my socks and shoes and drove back with the heater blasting hot air in the foot well.
foolish behaviour.
