What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very choice carries Harry

Always like to see the car thing, they used to do that kind of thing here apparently but in the old days they didn't remove the engine and oily bits, in fact it was whole-interior and all and they let them stay in sea or lakes. Obviously it got too pollutive and they stopped it. I've seen photos of Sweden in the 1950s where they used to dump dozens of old cars at sea

Your pic also amuses me as the car 'victim' looks a lot better than many of the old crates on the road here....Finland now has the 'honour' of having the oldest cars in the EU at av.15 years...govt. says we have the cheapest new cars in the EU but they don't say that's BEFORE car tax and VAT added making them some of the dearest. And with petrol at 2€/ litre ...that I think corresponds to 8.6 USD a gallon your terms, I think the US Gallon is smaller than the Imp.one at 3.8 litres.

Thanks, Will
Will, I am always amazed at the taxes y’all vote for, and then I realize we’re well on the way toward doing the same.
Even more amazing is your ability to convert liters, Imperial gallons, and US gallons in your head. I have several two cycle engines that require 50:1 fuel/oil mix, and have a dedicated gallon gas can for that. But the darned thing is Imperial gallon, which always causes me to have to pause and think. And us guys don’t like to have to pause and think.😄

I decided to carry these around with me today. I won’t burden the forum with open shots of The Lump. We’d be here all day, and it would break my satellite dish bandwidth.D6598BC7-000B-474C-B996-05C799CBBE1B.jpeg
I bought and put new Victorinox cellidor scales on it a couple of years ago. The old ones were chipped and just really in bad shape. My wife, then girlfriend, found this in the grass on campus in 1978, and turned it over to the proper authority ~ me. That was a clue that she might be a keeper.

So that makes this one of a small handfull of knives I’ve had the longest, and my first Swiss Army Knife. 476A1906-0C68-4182-A4E6-D05B55F9A120.jpeg

I thought I should have a change today.

Using my Remi to open my mail,I got a new French rat pack they are the best of all the ones I've used (he sent a little extra as well, never worry about BBE dates these last for years).

Then using my SAK bottle opener to tighten a lens collar release that also arrived today,Its perfect for the job.

Love the tree shots Gus, your dedication to go out in inclement weather to get them is admirable my friend. 🥶👍
I've got the little Ranger along for Thrifty Thursday.

Looking good John, balance is a good thing. 😉👍
Nice Mark, Ebony is always good. 😎👍

Late start today, had some grading to do. Since I’m at home again today I thought I’d break out a big boy. here’s my hard user 23…View attachment 1734745
…and to balance the force…my safe Queen 23. 😊👍View attachment 1734744
100% agree about ebony. And your 23’s look awesome. Such a great pattern. A bit heavy to carry around all the time, but I love using mine. The 23 was my introduction to GEC and I carried the two that I got daily until getting my hands on something more pocketable. Better have a good belt and jeans!
