African Blackwood 72 and bone Ulster whittler today. Someone previous to me gave the Ulster a lot of time in the pocket. Jigging is worn down considerably as are the blades,View attachment 1742413
still snappy though.
I’ll toss in another commendation toward your old Ulster, Greg. Very nice.
Dang, can’t believe I forgot to list Delrin, perhaps the most relevant plastic to traditional knives! View attachment 1742420

Well, don’t feel bad. You also forgot the ultra rare ebay version, Derlin.
I decided to stick with the Buck 110 because I was servicing a different kind of 110 and it just seemed appropriate, but I swapped the smooth bone 08 out for one of my 305's.
This reminds me I need to put fresh line on some reels.
Utility grade Barlow for today's carry. OH

I like this photo, Bruce. And the term “utilty grade” suits my collection perfectly!
Great loadout, Ed.
Farmers Jack again today.

As much as I love Old Timer sawcut Delrin for it’s durability and practicality, I’d be glad to have mine done in bone like that!
Kinfolk sends valentine that reads "Smitten", from F. Jack 😍 Caramel and chocolate☺️☺️

Just stunningly beautiful.
Carried the Easy Pocket Congress and the White Owl again today as we finished a 2000 piece puzzle , went out to lunch , and took a Great Grand Daughter to dance class . They cut nothing , but I do like to carry them because they are Stag and Monday does end with a "Y " .

Width is 36 inches

When our grand daughters visit, I bring in the folding table and set it up in the living room. Vik takes the girls to some craft stores, and among the things they come home with, there’s always a puzzle or two. Time well spent with girls we don’t get to see often enough.😟

😋 Speaking of nice photos...
The last plums of the season from backyard.

Those look good! Real good.
May I ask where you live? Southern hemisphere?

16 degrees (f) this morning, and the grass was rock hard when I knelt to take this photo, but it’s supposed to get up to 43 today.194F6790-508D-404B-9C4D-B66CCDB5DAD0.jpeg
Which means the backyard is going to get a little sloppy making this the only time that tests my love for my dog. We use toddler fences to keep the muddy footprints contained in the room with tile floors.
Here is a typical place to find him ~ watching the activity at the birdfeeders.
When a tree rat shows up to fill his vile verminous varmit belly, the dog will be sitting at attention, vibrating.9E8C8BB4-41A4-4E9C-A269-6D14F1D67046.jpeg

Thanks, Jeff. The old knife shows its age, not unlike myself these days.
:) I'm liking the combo you're carrying today, nice users with attractive patinas, can tell they are loved.
I'm good with the thaw outside but like you said its a hassle with the mutt. The wife had him out this morning and spent some amount of time cleaning his paws afterwards. Now she set the standard which I'll be expected to follow as I take him out today. I'd rather contain him to the kitchen floor after being out, but then again I'm not the one who washes the floors around here. ;)
