I subscribe to that theory as wellOk I’ll pile on. That one is fantastic. I like everything about it. Are those covers horn or acrylic or something else ? I subscribe to the theory that everything is better with a cap lifter.![]()
It went well and is thankfully over so we can get back normal work.Whoa, that’s a lot of chairs. Good luck with the Address Jon.![]()
A little late, but thank you JackThat's a great photo Jon![]()

I love the mug!We have PNW weather here again today, carrying these two.
Great knives Jon. Nice sunglasses too, I’m actually trying out a couple new pairs of sunglasses, but we don’t have any sun around here today
Anytime Todd! I’m glad to help
I carried this along with my 97 today:

This has an interesting issue I've only seen before on very old knives: the center pin has rotated about a quarter turn. Since this pin was sanded flush on the rounded edge of the handle, the part of the top of the pin that was pointed to the center of the handle (the part closest to the shield here) is the tallest part of the pin, and it is now pointed toward the blade, sticking out a bit on the handle. (The pin is one piece, so it is sticking out on both sides of the knife.) It's very noticeable visually, and even more by touch. I got a bad closeup that kind of shows what I'm talking about here:

At some point I'm either going to knock these back flush again very gently with my ball peen hammer, or use this as the excuse I need to take the whole knife apart (and recover it with something a little cooler than my rosewood turned out to be).
It's a great knife, but I don't carry it as often as I used to before this happened. It's odd - the pivot pin is still pretty much invisible in the front bolster, so it hasn't moved. But this pin in the spring has moved 90°.
Your great grand daughter is adorable. Has she inherited your taste for stag yet?It was a long day today , what with getting up early and going 18 miles to make sure a Great Grand Daughter gets on the school bus and then picking her up from the school bus after school . On the way back we stopped by Geneva Lake to see how many people were on it .
There were in fact many more people than what is shown here .
Then later when I wanted to get a picture of todays carry , she wanted to hold it .
An older but better photo of the old Taylors Eye Witness Lambfoot

It is a GEC - a Che Chen Rosewood 12 from 2019.WHOA !!! ... Is that a GEC knife? Would be interesting to see what the knife maker might say about it.
I like the Rosewood !!! With my no knife repairing skillz, I'd file and peen as necessary and probably carefully put a drop of super glue on each side, hoping to get down into the wood and pin a bit. Some super glues are thinner than others. I have some no thicker than water. So as you can see, my possible recourse is unacceptable ... did I mention I'd see what the knife maker had to say![]()
In the meantime, I’ll carry the Brook and try to resist getting the bff Barlow.Thank you, Bart.
The Brook Trout will have to wait after I saw this fixed blade Barlow.
I’m trying to resist the Boker but it looks so nice.I got my Boker Barlow BFF in the mail today. First impressions are very positive. I like the blade profile. The walnut scales are really nice. I like the whole package. It'll make a nice companion for me and my Eureka Jack.
