Stunning!
It's always sad to see them leave after cheering their careers for years.I know that feeling as a couple of my favorite SF Giants retired over the last couple years.
I think it's normal to feel a little satisfaction in it.my co-workers are losing their minds over the Seahawks right now…is it a bit sick to say I like it?
Thanks, Mike! You're winning the Best Emoji category today.Beauty!![]()
Well, I sure hopeI have some old catalogs that call that pattern a slim Trapper and others that call it a Serpentine Jack.
I think the Serpentine Jack might have evolved over time into being called a slim Trapper.
Maybe calling it either one you like or even Trapper Jack is appropriate.![]()
That’s a fine knife. More than fine... bet you’ll like it.Voos jack and GEC 35, resting on splits of the invasive European Buckthorn that Jeff mentioned earlier.
The Voos is one of two nice vintage knives gifted to me out of the blue by one of our finest porch members. Many thanks, Paul.

It's a great knife, used this morning to cut a bunch of plastic sheathing. That’s a fine knife. More than fine... bet you’ll like it.
So buckthorn makes an ok bow? I know it works in the fireplace, as long as one keeps the screen cliosed. It snaps and pops a lot.
I really like your file knife! Well done~ great blade shape, and the handle looks hand friendly.
What a fine way to be able to honor your Dad.One of my father's 340T's today.

Pretty useful pair, Harry. If I remember right, the 2019 was a gift from Ron...
One day, my grandson will have my fishing stuff.I carried my Eureka jack again today. Pictured with another one of my Grandpa’s old reels (and rod).

Great Wenger, and you’ve made me hungry.
Me too, Jim.John, I’ve been a die hard Packers fan forever but I didn’t watch a single minute of professional football this year. Not even the Super Bowl. I’d had enough of players antics so I pit my focus elsewhere. That being said, my co-workers are losing their minds over the Seahawks right now…is it a bit sick to say I like it?![]()
Hempwood~ something new I learned today!
Nice Serpentine Jack, my friend!A little more weight in my pockets than usual today:

It's a snake knot. Actually 3 snake knots. I'm sure there are other names for it, but if you search snake knot there are many references.Do you know what that knot is called that you are using on the fob?
You are correct Jeff . Ron knew that I had gifted 2 of the 2019 Forums Knife to my son and a grand son , so he gifted me this one and a Maserin . There are very few knives that I have that are a better User than the 2019 Forums Knife IMHO and the Early 2015 Northfield 77 Barlow Old Red is about the best of the 50 or so Barlows that I have .I really like your file knife! Well done~ great blade shape, and the handle looks hand friendly.
