What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Eureka today. It’s bass time, unfortunately I’ve got no spare time.

Today was a pretty great day. I left the house early in the morning, met up with @herder and we headed over to Wisconsin for the Badger Knife Club Knife Show. Before the show, we met @Old Engineer and Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund for breakfast. We got to chat a bit, show off some knives and then check out all the good stuff at the show.

This was my first time meeting Harry or Jeff in person, and it was a absolute pleasure. I hope we get to do it again sometime, guys!

I had my #86 Angus Jack in my pocket today. I may have brought a few other knives along with me as well. 🙃

I picked up a pair of USA Schrade 5OT’s at the show, both in carbon steel, something I’ve been looking for at a reasonable price for a while now.

I had my eye on a couple other things, too. Thankfully I’ll have a chance to go back and look again tomorrow.
I must have been ahead of you in the aisles, because I saw those two green Schrades in that guy’s case. I’m glad you snagged them, Barrett!
Thanks for making the trip down with Neal, Barrett. I really enjoyed meeting you face to face, and eapecially enjoyed getting to inspect your quite impressive collection of GECs!
Happy hunting today, and drive safely going home!
It was a good day Barrett . The Knife Show was okay but the best part for me was the discussions with you , Jeff , and @herder before and after and getting to see some of your pocket jewelry . Good Luck finding some additional product tomorrow my friend and have a safe drive back home .
Of course I had a Sharp Edged Piece of Equipment in my pockets today too .

Plus I carried some Show & Tell too , but I will take some photos tomorrow to show what I took and the ones that I obtained .

Harry
Exactly the way I felt, Harry. The knife show was OK, but the best part was the getting together.
Pretty family shot, but no way you’re toting them all.

Schradurday. 833 and 879.BA582C21-6082-421B-8E43-7FBBBCA3262D.jpegE0FF1645-94A3-4D4F-BAAF-3E2736BEE5D8.jpegI was not in “acquisition mode”, financially or otherwise yesterday, but that did not dampen my enjoyment of hitting the knife show. Nice to see resilient human beings shrugging off virus restrictions after two years under banishment.
As Harry said, the best part of the day was the meeting up with porch friends! And talking and showing knives.

I did buy one knife there, a WWII production PAL Cutlery TL-29 in cocobolo. It needs some TLC and a few whacks with a ball pein hammer, which is why it cost me less than lunch and a cup of coffee😗
I’ll post a before and after photo one of these days.
And Harry gave me a pair that I certainly did not deserve, but will be happily toting soon.
