I can see why you've been carrying that one a LOT... it's absolutely gorgeous! 🤠

Re-Cycled photo of todays carry :

Picked these 2 up at the Badger Blade Show yesterday . The Goal was to get a couple of patterns that I did not have when I went .
1986 Bulldog Stag Canoe , made in Solingen : Brass Liners and Pins /// Pinned Shield , No half/stops , Flush when Open and Closed with both blades . Knife was a little Gritty that I will have to clean out . 3 & 1/2 long closed .

Big Heavy Stag Lock Back . Tang Stamp says C.JUL.HERBERTZ and Rostfrie . Have wanted this Pattern for quite a while . Length = 4 & 1/4 " Open and 7 & 3/4/" Closed . Brass Liners and Pins , Blade is Centered . Very Heavy Stag , Knife is 1" Thick . Well of knife needs to be cleaned a little . The Pencil in the photos to keep the knife from tipping .

Canoe is 3/8 " thick and Herbertz is 1.0" thick . Did I say Heavy Stag ????

I had a Goal of XX Number of Stags in my meager collection and I expect that I have reached it now .

I can hear the Bass calling... Glub, Glub, Glub. 😁
Thay’re calling both of our names 😁
I'm back to carrying this wonderful Lloyd today...
I love seeing customs get carried 👍
Now that’s a show of discipline! 😊👍
Only because I didn’t have any gear with me. If I did I’m sure I would have had a little bit of time. 😁
I really like the red shields on the Cases 👍 I might need to track one down, but which one? 🤔

Looking good Taylor :)
“I am Iron (and up to 2% carbon) Man.” 😉
🤣
Today was a pretty great day. I left the house early in the morning, met up with @herder and we headed over to Wisconsin for the Badger Knife Club Knife Show. Before the show, we met Old Engineer Old Engineer and @Amir Fleschwund for breakfast. We got to chat a bit, show off some knives and then check out all the good stuff at the show.

This was my first time meeting Harry or Jeff in person, and it was a absolute pleasure. I hope we get to do it again sometime, guys!

I had my #86 Angus Jack in my pocket today. I may have brought a few other knives along with me as well. 🙃

I picked up a pair of USA Schrade 5OT’s at the show, both in carbon steel, something I’ve been looking for at a reasonable price for a while now.

Ride in the sun, stopped at a RAF cemetery to sit amongst the graves and read a bit.
The thing that sticks with me most about Nessmuk's little book is how near the surface death was.
Chat with a woman on the beach, and, "Once I was somebody, but now I'm just a little dying girl".
Teach your old friend's kids a little camping, and, "I'm glad I did, because the next year they both died of fever".
[I probably already said this in the Nessmuk trio thread.]

Further information if of interest,I used to refuel the bowser on the airfield for the RAF powered gliders
I was once descended on by a load of tough looking blokes asking what I was doing there,I was driving a bright yellow RAF bowser and mooching around so hardly sneaking in.🤣
The Airfield is mostly empty and sealed off, I think they where SAS doing fast rope training and other stuff 😂

I often stop at military memorials, read a book eat a apple and keep them company for a while.

I figured there had to be more to the story.
🤣🤣🤣
I carried my Alox SAK today for little league opening day and my son’s first game. Long day and tons of fun.
