What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Otter's looking good Andi :)

Today I'm taking my Texas Jack out with me, and my Libert Belgian Army clasp knife.

I have to confess to toting something NT this weekend but you have posted some lovely knives folks.

Jack - My dad used to carry his Boatswain's Call or an old Peeler's Whistle with his clasp knife too, both of which from his Sea cadets days. Looks like its gonna be a cracking day too sir. Enjoy.

Jack like the setup with your rigging knife, also like the flat head screwdriver on the outside of the knife, I have one that has the screwdriver like that found it handy, nothing to open.

Still the same setup for two weeks now.

I'm carrying my amber bone mini copperhead today. It is a cold, clear day in north Louisiana by my standards at least. I'm gonna start a fire late this afternoon when the wind lays a bit. In the meantime, I'll have my little friend with me:

Been a nice day my friend. I actually bought the whistle (an Acme Guide) for another forum member, but he already had one. I like the way it fits my set-up, reminds me of my own childhood :)

Blow the whistle. See if Elliott appears.

I'll give it a try ;)

Thanks Pete. I've actually just used the screwdriver when the door of a kitchen cupboard came loose :)

I finally got myself a Schatt & Morgan English Jack (green bone, spear main), and holy moly it's big! I gotta figure out a way to pocket carry without it going horizontal on me. Maybe one of those pocket sheaths...

Anyway, I'm carrying two recent pickups, neither of which I have a pic, a GEC snakewood Pemberton in my watch pocket, and a Schatt & Morgan swell center Series 18 in brown berry wormgroove. Both are terrific knives, and the Schatt is just perfect at 3 7/8". Grinds are right on, nice and sharp out of the box.

I hope that the Pemberton eventually leads GEC to make a Peanut, I'll be one of the first in line. Now if they'd do a Scout on the Cuban or White Owl frame...the only blade they'd need to make is a can opener as they already have the spear, punch and cap lifter. <fingers crossed>

Mid-day switch.

Reading the 4" stockman thread reminded me how much I have admired Pete's yellow bone Böker stockman. I have always believed that a 4" knife was too big for me to comfortably pocket, but I'm game for trying something new today.

So, the Schrade 832 gets replaced for the rest of today, by this big fellow to simulate a 4" stockman, Case 6292 jack:
