Perfect match :) :thumbsup:
Thanks a lot, Jack!!! :) Looking really great, especially with that awesome steam locomotive (love those, too!) :cool: 😁 :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

That's what I want to say to the "patina" folks on BF. A new knife should look new. 😉
Perhaps its splitting hairs, but there is a difference:

Rust:

Patina:

Patina will help prevent rust. Rust....well rust never sleeps :)

LOL! :D I was once at an auction, where there were a lot of lots, and the female auctioneer was going through them at break-neck speed. I wasn't paying much attention, as I was only interested in a couple of lots, and she was nowhere near them. She kept using this word that I couldn't make out, and eventually I asked the guy I was with what she was saying. It was "shabby chic"! :D That was only about 5 years ago! 🤣 :thumbsup:

Here, they have whole building like that! :eek: :rolleyes: 🤣

I remember a couple of decades ago they were experimenting with steel for guardrails that would form an oxidation layer of "rust" and then stop. Much like aluminum does, which is why we generally think of aluminum as non-rusting. If they're doing it with entire buildings it must be working. That's cool. Wish they had made my truck out of it. Its got a lot of "patina" ;)😅

Or maybe they just hit the whole building with a shot of clear coat and called it good :p

Mawvellous examples there Steve 😃:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sorry to see the bite Mike… your CASE scales though… do look like a perfect match😁:thumbsup::thumbsup:

What a wunderful pairing again there J.J.
🤩:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Speaking of great duos 🤩:thumbsup::thumbsup:

What a beauty there Dave… possibly a fairly early modernal :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Gawgeously worn pick-bone 😃:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very similar weather to Primble’s up here in the last 48hrs. An assortment of everything falling out of the sky. Sure wish some more of these ‘74s would join this drop….

A great end-of-the-week for All😊:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I think that Miller Brothers knife is pretty old Gus. I bought it because of its Ct. heritage. At one time Ct. was known for their quality knife and firearms manufacturing. Someone had a nice Empire knife for sale here awhile back but I missed out on it maybe next time.

TGIF! The temp is 30 degrees lower than yesterday, and it's raining.
Coffin Jack in my pocket, and watching Bluey with the grandkids. Life is good!

Nice knife😎
Didn't know you got bluey there,it's pretty popular here. I've only seen bits of it. For my kids it was the original wiggles & the youngest the octanauts.
Every time my son comes home, he sits down with my dog (Bluey) and watches Bluey... says it's Bluey's favorite show. 🤣

Here's Bluey. :)
You sure you aren't an Aussie? Very traditional to call a red bluey😂
Nice dog, I've had a red heeler myself, very loyal dogs👍

I was just thinking about those little Barlows yesterday, and kind of missing mine... Yours is super nice! 🤠:thumbsup:

Thanks, John. They are nice, aren’t they? I find them a bit small for regular carry, but I’ll grab one every now and then.

Sounds like a pretty good day, Gary. :thumbsup: We watch our fair share of Bluey around here. I have to say, it’s better than some of the other kids shows I’ve been subjected to. 🤣

Oh, I believe it's you! I was having a problem seeing a Grey beard on that youthful face!

Having recently met Jeff in person, I can vouch for the grey beard. 😉😁

Back pocket carry, taking no chances of being "under bladed" ;) Bought this new, sold here on the forum, year or two later found on the bay and bought it back for not much more than I sold it for. Try that in today's aftermarket pricing :oops: :oops: :oops:

Just be careful around lakes, rivers, swimming pools, etc. with that in your pocket. You’d go straight to the bottom! Actually, I’d imagine most bodies of water in your neck of the woods still have some thawing left to do. Ours are getting there, although just today I saw a couple guys out on Minnetonka sitting on upturned buckets. 😁

I’ve got these two in my pocket today.

Not an Aussie...
It started out that I wanted to call my Red Heeler "Blue" just to be funny.
Then with a little help from my friend meako meako , we ended up calling him "Bluey".
He gave me the full run-down on what it meant, and i just knew it was the perfect name.

That's why I let mine go so long ago.
But on those days where you feel like carrying something small, that's when I kick myself.
Hahaha... Perfect! 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Love that 47, Mark. Very nice Ironwood.

Beautiful knives, Jon. Love the patch as well, didn't get a patch for that myself, only a certificate to hang on the wall.

Just poking some fun at the screws on that sweet vintage piece, as a few of us were chatting up modern-traditional blades yesterday.
I’ve only been able to find one Miller Bros. from up here, and it ain’t gettin’ any easier I’m afraid !!
Good luck to you on an Empire Dave…
Another elusive knaf where patience is an unfortunate virtue 🤩:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I’m not sure I’ve mentioned that I still have a ‘99 Fender Strat in fiesta-red that came in the n.o.s. variant back then, built by J.Cruz. It’s possible that it was the first one in Canada…. you had to almost wait in line to touch it….
That’s when Fender really began producing their Custom Shop trio of N.O.S., Closet Classic and Relic line in higher numbers… I used to laugh at the other two and still do Jeff.
A couple of us put it up against many ‘59-‘65s and it really did sound as good and many times even better than the originals, it never got close to really feeling the same though.
In the next few days I’ll pull out a real vintage sweet-heart for a shot… hint: cherry🍒red
😊:thumbsup::thumbsup:
