What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Absolutely Jeff… and shortly 😃:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Real beauties up there Barrett :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That’s how I started out Paul, self-taught and then just jamming away with my pals. First with electric and acoustic guitars and then electric bass as I just lurve the interplay with drums.
Kool to see some musicians on the porch
:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Here’s a ‘79-‘81 (all factory other than strap pegs) cbs Precision with poly that’s surprisingly sinking into the grains of the ash body ☺️ No checking as with nitro, but what can you do !!

Jeff, those look great and broke-in. You built a guitar from scratch!?! That's doing something. Hats off to you.

That's the Jazz bass to have, right there. When I get around to picking one up, I know what I'm shooting for. Nice one, Barrett.

There's another keeper, Gus. Me, you, and Barrett need to put together a 3-man bass band. It might sound bad on paper, but it probably would be even worse than that!

Here's my 20-year-old P-Bass with Calf Roper. I've played it and carried it around but it looks ridiculously pristine for all that rocking out. Just not played hard enough yet, get on it!
Beautiful P Basses, guys! Thanks for the photos.
Thanks, Paul! :thumbsup: I played trumpet in the school band, and around 8th or 9th grade I attended a church music camp where, in addition to classes that focused on the instrument you played, you could take a class in an instrument you had no experience with. I picked bass guitar because, in that setting, it seemed like the coolest and most obscure thing to try out… and I absolutely fell in love with it.

Thanks, Jeff. I miss playing music with other folks, it’s been too long.

Thanks, guys! Couple of good lookin’ P-Basses there! 😎

I don’t want to get this thread too far off topic, but since we’re talking basses, I’ve got to share this one, too. It’s a lot of fun to play. 🙂

I took those pics (and the one I shared earlier) for this thread a couple years back, which is worth checking out if you haven’t before.

And to get back on track, I think I’ll grab my BigBiscuit #25 for my Sunday carry.

Love the Carvin 6 string, Barret! I’ll have to check that link.
Before we get too far afield, and start talking about amplifiers, here’s a couple knife pics. Got about an inch of global warming yesterday, but the big Norway Spruce outside the front door kept it off the irises. They took a vote and decided to forge ahead with springtime plans.218B6C71-7BBF-4134-BE24-BBA958DDA99F.jpeg0514FCEA-C7C9-45D7-A6B5-4252745AE102.jpegSunday’s a good day to toss up a sincere prayer for the folks in UA, if you’re so inclined.

A most pleasant Sunday for All😊:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Jack. :)
I wish Lloyd made a Lambsfoot. ;)
He did make one John, there might be a link in the Guardians thread index 😎👍

Edit - rockman0 rockman0 Rob has/had a Lloyd, with a Lambsfoot and clip 👍

There are a number of posts from John himself in the Guardians thread, eg

Post in thread 'Guardians of The Lambsfoot!' https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/guardians-of-the-lambsfoot.1406735/post-17616974

However, I don't think John has posted there for the last 4 or 5 years. J John L : You've got 5 years Guardians dues owing! 😁😉
