What a great time! You guys caught some nice fish. Beautiful Case and slip Bart, John’s generosity never fails. I bet you had to keep a close eye on that Boker though!I had a great time meeting up with John today. He’s every bit as nice a guy as you would expect. I had these two with me (old picture):

We both caught several fish, too.

And in true John DF fashion, he came bearing gifts. A sweet 70’s Case and one of his amazing slips, both of which are in my pocket now.

And good eating as well.I bet they areWe don't have Bluegills here, probably the nearest we have are Perch, which give a nice fight for their size

After seeing your Brookie, it has moved well up my list again.
Great picture, Bart.
You are very welcome, my friend.
Thanks, Jack.Nice fish John, I'm glad you had a great time
Oh... He didn't break it out until he knew I was headed home.I bet you had to keep a close eye on that Boker though
Nice gift, and a nice mod tooDuring our fishing trip yesterday, Bart gave me this GEC #71.
I absolutely love it! He modified the blade shape and rounded the handle covers.
Now I think it is a whole lot more comfortable and useful. Thank you very much, my friend.
He also had a really cool lanyard with a stag bead that he'd made, but I'm putting that one on a slip I'm finishing up for myself.
Just in time for Micarta Monday

Thanks, John. I know the feeling. That was the only one I took.Great picture, Bart.
I was so excited to be catching fish, I kept forgetting to take pictures.
I only took one of the Bluegill because I know Todd was so fond of them.
