What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm heading out early again tomorrow, to attend a traditional Yorkshire 'Pace-egg' play, for the first time in 3 years. Have a good Good Friday everyone

Ladybug meets Hartshead. Wonder what she thought of it ? 🤔😊
Have a good day at the play Mr. Jack !
Is there a certain kind of required or traditional dress for people attending or is that just for the actors ?

I followed the link and then followed another link. I had never heard of a "Pace-egg" play. I was somewhat gratified to learn that nobody, including those putting on the play, know why its called "Pace-egg. Sounds like fun (I'll note here that if one types "fun" in the BF emoji search box, the only thing that comes up is a funeral urn 🤪 )
Temporarily toting this one today. Fresh off the bench yesterday. And yes monkeys can turn screws and peen traditionals 🐵🙈🙉🙊
I'm a little nonplussed that monkeys have a better skill set than me :p

Hospital today for X rays on my hands.

So I cracked my standard joke.

"Will I be able to play the piano afterwards?

Yes was the answer

To which I replied,thats strange because I couldn't play it before" 🤣

Then to the excellent English institution which is the league of friends, lots of old dears making tea and butties in the spirit of the blitz.

I had a cup of char and a slice of lardy cake and a coronation chicken buttie to takeaway for lunch.

I sat in the canteen a while hoping for but no sign of a dream nurse for me to fall for. 🥰

Pete, it’s really comfortable in hand and in pocket. It’s a big one but we’ll balanced and the blade has been great to eat with.
I sure bet it’s great to eat with! That nice wide blade makes it a little safer too. Appreciate your thoughts sir!
They are kind of special and I hope that you can keep it my friend .

Harry
I’m in no rush to see it leave my collection, going to keep it around for a while until my mind is made up. It’s really nice, might just make a great new apple knife for Iris and I. Thank you for your thoughts, Harry!

730 miles yesterday from my son’s to my brother’s house. 300 from here to home, sweet home. Slept long, late and deep, bowl of oatmeal, fresh coffee in my mug, and off we go.View attachment 1792659LF posed on my brother’s lovely ‘50s Loyd Loar Gibson mandolin.
Combined with my ‘55 J45, we have had many hours of bluegrass picking. Alas, not this time. But we had a nice chat before bed talking about family, spring turkey hunting, and the war in eastern Europe. He’s a pastor in a little country church, and is really smart and well informed, and is always interesting to talk with.
Sounds…. Like an amazing time Jeff :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Sitting at home the last two days with a wicked head cold. Really no need for a knife on me but what fun would that be?
Hope you’re feelin’ better my friend… you’re certainly in good company 😃:thumbsup:
What a beauty, Gus.

Carrying these two for my work Friday.
Thank you kindly Jeremy, as your choices there today are just as sweet 😃:thumbsup:
Toting these two today as I found a perfect mounting spot on my "car bag" for this lil LT Wright FB. :)
What a beauty of a pic & pair there as well J.J. 😃:thumbsup:

Carrying this frenchie for a few days now, does anyone know who made it? The 'M.P' marking is the only one visible besides 'stainless france'

I gave a superficial look on the internet, but most results were about a “MP stabbing”.😐
But, it’s a real beauty!
That's one heckuva drive Jeff! Thank heavens you had a Lambsfoot with! :D ;) Great pics, I hope you can meet up with your brother again soon

That's all you need Pete ;) :)

Thanks much Jack! Really enjoyed the Lambfoot that Harry gave me, as well as the 804 Schrade that was a gift from Ron!
Time flies too fast, and family gets too spread out, you know?

Very nice, and welcome to BF.

Home from Colorado, and it feels so good. Since I already showed y’all my knives today, here’s a pic of somebody who missed his best friend...27226FA1-372C-49D0-AE20-E08489447533.jpeg
