What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Oh yeah! The Coats Texas Jack with the modified wharncliffe blade and red "Milky Way" bar jigging that is so nice. Thanks for posting Elliott!

Thanks, Luciano. It's a great knife. I had asked Ken to make this one up for me with his jigged bone, D2 instead of his standard ATS-34 and with the modified secondary which I have had put on several of my custom knives.

Ken has a 70's dots Case 6292 which had belonged to his father which he used for the basic pattern. I think he did a heck of a job on all levels with this one.:thumbup:

 I would have to agree, he did a great job. The 92 is a great knife, but Ken improved it on all levels

I have been EDCing my Blade Forum 2008 slipjoint folder with stag handles. The blades and inside springs have rust spots from being in my back pocket all day. The stag has soaked up my sweat and is yellowish.

This knife has given me a new respect for the usefulness of a little 3 blade plain jane old fashioned slip joint. It is very handy and does not raise eyebrows nor does it take up excessive pocket space.

Now I would like to remove the rust spots and perhaps get some sort a rust resistant patina one it.

Yes I have sinned for actually using the forum knife for EDC despite the above it still cuts very very well.

This has triggered me to get the Case peanut and the Case medium brown amber jigged bone Stockman both in CV steel they are great. Should I EDC one of those instead ?

I still like the fact that the Blade Forum 2008 knife holds three great cutting blades in such a small package. The peanut holds two smaller blades and is the smallest of both. The medium stockman three blade knife is somewhat bigger than the forum knife.

The Forum Knife seems just the right size. Why does the better one have to be the collector's piece. I am still undecided which one I should carry.

Carried my Case medium amber bone stockman this morning. My pic isn't as nice as most out there but here it is:

Back to an ol' standby today. Kerry's little ivory swayback in D2, but have only used it to cut up an apple so far today.

Case Green Smooth Bone Baby Doc. The spatula is handy for common tasks which could damage a regular blade, such as light prying, scraping, or driving screws.

3 blade Stockman...albeit a Damascus 3 blade stockman! Otherwise pretty darn traditional pocket fare!

Oh and a not so traditional Kershaw Leek and a Buck Terrani Streider in ATS34.

Today it was a Case Amber Bone medium stockman and a Camillus 717 Yellow Jacket trapper. That trapper is a pocketful.

I'm off work today, so I have no size limitations.

Bittersweet. This one arrived the very day Case announced it's latest layoff. Fit and finish is excellent. CV is razor sharp, and the yella is well...yella. This is going to be my EDC for a long while I think.

case amber bone large stockman cv for the last 3 weeks... the clip has just enough lenght for cutting up a watermellon... or seperating ribs at a bbq.... the sheeps foot is big enough to handle all my utility cutting chores without looking scary... and the spey is my dedicated carving and pb spreading blade..... it is a pocketfull but a great knife none the less.. as a side note for any primitive skills guys in here.. the spey sharpened curve of the spey blade so close to the tip.. works excellent for drilling out a divot in a fire board.
