This fantastic old Ulster Cattle knife arrived in yesterdays mail along with a gift for our Kiwi friend Duncan Campbellclanman . Sorry Jeff, it’s pole vault. This is the first Saturday that the weather has been good enough to practice in the morning since the track season started.

I should have able to decipher that, Todd. I had a solidly average and unspectacular high school track carreer, and pole vaulting scared the dickens out of me.

Me too. I vaulted in HS, not because I was good, but because I was the only one crazy enough to try it. My jumpers always ask if I can still do it. I just laugh and say I never really could!
