If you go to the GEC Rendevous (sp?) Travis Travman Travman , you can have Howard or one of his employees reset a new shield in that. Looks like it'll take a standard UN-X-LD shield. Failing that, just color the shield well with a dark brown magic marker and call it good. Here's what I did with a Scout Trapper that lost it's shield. I left the hole unfilled as it gives it character.

Modoc ED Modoc ED , that is my plan. I will be there for the Rendezvous, so it will be easy to drop off with them. They worked on a Beer Scout knife for me a few years ago. If I recall, they have a form to fill out with name and address. Then they call me in a few weeks.

Any first impressions on the Humphrey Harry?
The knife is finished out pretty well . Someone with more skills than just a Blacksmith worked on it . The edge looks well sharpened , but I have not tried to cut anything with it yet . Nice grain in the Cocobolo . I was very surprised at the level of finish on the Spline . Did not expect it to be highly polished . Very happy with it and like that I do not have to make a Sheath for it . I can see why people wanted to buy them back in 2014 -2015 .
Edited to add : Very surprised to see a Guard hammered into the Blade . I am going to have to show some better pictures Mark , but I think you probably have one .

Harry
