What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That looks well made. It’s a cold weather hat?

You’re probably making your Dad happier than you will know. At least until it’s your turn to be Grandpa. Have a great time!
Definitely! It’s been a couple years since we’ve had one of these getaways.

I love this knife !

The knife is finished out pretty well . Someone with more skills than just a Blacksmith worked on it . The edge looks well sharpened , but I have not tried to cut anything with it yet . Nice grain in the Cocobolo . I was very surprised at the level of finish on the Spline . Did not expect it to be highly polished . Very happy with it and like that I do not have to make a Sheath for it . I can see why people wanted to buy them back in 2014 -2015 .
Edited to add : Very surprised to see a Guard hammered into the Blade . I am going to have to show some better pictures Mark , but I think you probably have one .

Harry
I had two of the whitetails in Cocobolo. Now I have one and Harry has one. I never did anything to either. That was how Lon finished them at the time. Glad to see you like it Mr. Harry ! ☺️

This is the other one:

I need to get up with you sometime to find out what kind of lucky charms you was carrying around Harry. The first 2 names out of the bucket was Old Engineer, then R8shell, then old Engineer again. I stirred them names up really good and again after I folded them all. Seemed like some kind of force at work. Good thing for the others that I had the you can only win one knife rule. ;) 🤣🤣

Great choices John :)

Minnesota Twins hat…I saw how their logo was quite similar to that of a TC Barlow so I perused the thousands of Twins hats on eBay until I found this one. I guess given climate at certain times of year in Minnesota, there are a lot of “unique “ Twins caps available.View attachment 1816154
I never thought of it until I saw your post, but the Twin City Tractor logo is really close also. Might be hard to find a Twin City hat 🤔

Could lead to some awkward conversations.

So are you a Twins fan?

No, I like knives.

...

It's not like that. I like boy's knives.

John, the jigging on that Case is stellar!

How did you fasten it to the wooden "baseplate"? The version I have has a "foot" that is approximately 1-1/2" X 2-1/4". When using it, one hand has to hold the tool steady. Trying to find a way to eliminate this.
Thanks

Headed to town and lunch at Antonio's an Italian restaurant that has recently reopened for in-dining after overcoming all the negatives that caused it to close during the pandemic. Looking forward to Meatballs and pasta with marinara sauce and anchovies. I'll be totin this U.S. Navy commemorative single-blade Sowbelly with blue jigged bone covers.
