Just finished a bunch of kitchen knives, and someone just dropped off another WWII Kbar to redo. I just finished one and got it out the door and now got another WII Kbar to do.

The one Kbar I am doing know really doesn’t matter someone sharpened it with a regular bench grinder half the blade is gone. The butt is scratched from it and there is no angle set for the sharpening edge. I get my parts from Kbar themselves so I figured I will take all the scratches off from the grinder. Set the original bevels on the blade and straighten the uneven blade to one straight one making for a longer cutting surface.

It will end up straight with new replacement parts as all the old parts are damaged from the grinder. But I can make a long straight knife out of the blade and replace both the guard and butt with a new handle. I will have to cut and place the smaller black leather washers. I will then polish the blade as it makes a good camping knife but can’t be restored to anything close to original condition. But I can make it look very good. It is though impossible to restore as original. But the owner did not hire me to restore to original condition but wanted a good camping knife. Which I can do.
