My great-great paternal grandfather fought in the Civil war, captured in the battle of Hather's Run, and held as a POW until the end of the war at Point Lookout. Tis a miracle he survived, only to return home meaner than a junkyard dog. While imprisoned great-great grandma wife bore their seventh child, concieved while he was on a short r/r, and she died shortly afterwards. After returning home he kicked my 15 year old great grandfather out with the clothes on his back, after fighting over a woman. Thanks wlfryjr
