Handy Dandy Pocket Knife.
I agree, we need more of those.
This just arrived today. AGR Hobo knife in green G10. In this age of hybrid/remote work I have been feeling like a hobo for two years now. At any given day I could be in NYC, at my home in Queens, upstate or anywhere in between. This is the perfect knife for this lifestyle.
I hate plastic utensils. Cutting a steak or a piece of chicken with a plastic knife is a real pain. NYC food cart fare is generally very good but the throw away utensils can barely get through lunch without falling apart. No more of that now. I added a pic of the hobo along side a Case Medium Stockman to give you an idea of its thickness. It is surprisingly not very thick considering it’s basically two knives in one. There is only a tiny and uniform gap where the two sides of this knife click together. There is a lock to keep things solid. When the fork is closed the lock engages. There is no play at all.
AGR calls this a Boxcar Jack btw. Case trademarked the name Hobo Knife. Since hobos back in the Depression rode in empty boxcars fairly often while looking for work, the name fits well.
Two favorites, Case Texas Jack and GEC Farmers Jack. Cleaned my deck today and will stain tomorrow

I finally broke triple-digits with my post count on the Porch. At that moment, a mysterious 2022 Forum Knife appeared floating before me. I reached out! But it was only a vision. If I'm remembering correctly, that's about 50% the plot of 'Macbeth.'
I've got this Albers jack on me today:

Congrats, and thanks for the laugh!
Among the knives I'm carrying this week are a couple of Case chestnut jigged bone CV models that have a lot of sentimental value for me, having come to me from a couple of outstanding members of The Porch who are no longer with us.
Stockman of the Week is a sowbelly stockman, and Chestnut Jigged Bone CV Case Knife of the Week is a Sodbuster Jr.:
