It‘s just a great Barlow. Single Sheepsfoot blade which is my favorite with wear/stain resistant micarta handles. its a knife made for work.
Thanks, those are my favorite features also. And I agree, made for work.
Great knife for all occasions, Bart. 🤠
Thanks, John. It’s hard to beat that set up for most of my uses.
That photo says "Little Knife on the Prairie" to me. Love it! 👍
Thanks. Pa probably had a Barlow in in that book.
Nice one! 👍
My flea market finds——$12 for both! Should clean up nicely; pretty excited!

Looks like a good day. Seems like whenever I go to a flea market it’s either junk or way overpriced.

That one is awesome 👍

Carried the Pioneer on the scooter today. I saw two bald eagles feeding on something in a field. One mature with the white head and tailfeathers, and one immature that hadn't turned white yet. They were only about 40-50 feet off the road. I tried to stop quietly  so I could get a pic, but they weren't having any of it and split. Even at 50 feet, watching the two take off was fairly magnificent. They were BIG. The brown one looked to be close in size to the mature one.
Good weather, clear roads, eagles, a good running motorbike, and a good knife wings.gif

Love the Wards Cattle, Steve. I followed one like it on the bay a couple of years ago, but the bidding got silly.
Do you know who made the knives for Wards?
Cam, Ulster, Utica???

I believe this one was made by Winchester. If I could only have one pocket knife this would be it

I know Camillus made knives for them as well, not sure about Ulster but it's possible.

Thanks Jack. You are right but more than that how fortunate I was to come into the Guardians in time to be a part of all of those amazing sfo's.

Very cool.
Happy days my friend :)
This evening we went to a memorial/candlelight vigil for a classmate of Eleanor’s who was killed last week. I don't know the extent to which the story received national attention, but I’m sure it was overshadowed (understandably so) by the other tragic news this week.

Afterwards we took the girls to get ice cream, and walked down by the lake. I had my newly modified #71 Bull Nose in my pocket again today.

Tragic indeed Barrett :(
I do very much with many thanks to you! It's pretty much my favorite "jack" pattern! :)
That's nice to hear JJ :)

New to me, never used or carried and with factory edge Canoe has docked ...
And AH !!! The infinite loveliness presented in this Keystone 1996 Schatt & Morgan. One of the most enticing and alluring canoes to ever slip the ways of beauty.
Superbly tinted Dark Emerald Green jig bone covers. Blades, sleek and sharp. If this knife were a bell, it would tinkle ... DING !!! DING !!! DING !!!
It’s all this and more because skilled genius transformed mere steel and bone into a raving beauty, as though given a magic touch.
The best part is, the beauty endures. The loveliness has not passed into nothingness, but rather has been cherished and nurtured.
Why? Because these gems don’t come along often and are worthy of admiration, preservation and the joys of proud carry and discrete use … it might be said.
On me and going through the bonding phase. Oh yeah ... I like it :)

Yeah, it was a really good day; went to the flea market with the family. Of course, I’m always on the lookout for knives and fishing tackle, but I usually find nothing, broken up stuff, or way over-priced things. Seems like you have to look at a thousand knives to find one worth carrying out, so I’m pretty happy about today.
