Have a safe trip Jeff !We are flying out to Colorado tomorrow~ my wife and daughter and I, plus her parents from here, and I also bought tickets for my three granddaughters to fly from Georgia. So I have a lot to get done today, primarily deciding which knives to pack in our checked bag! Now your cattle reminds that my old Craftsman (Camillus) cattle would be a good one to take. The only concern is some sticky fingered baggage handler or other mishap. The last time we flew to Colorado, my bag took a two or three day side trip to Houston.
Good luck, Rob!
It was a nice early morning GT, but, no fish, not even a bite !Good to see that you're carrying some ID in case, heaven forbid, the boat goes down!
Hope you had an enjoyable time.

You sure captured the shine on that one Brother Jim !Wharncliffe Wednesday

I miss Gus, his knives, his pictures, and his enthusiasm !Ditto with @Un-Chained.Hope all is well.
Thanks, David; that red bone Case is one of my favorite canoes.GT, I've been resisting your canoe propaganda for a long time, but fine! You won me over with this Case. What a nice one.
I know I've heard plenty of those "not only that" jokes before, but I don't think I was aware of the source. But now that you say it, I can imagine verbal exchanges like that between Gilligan and the Professor, or Gilligan and almost anyone. We will, thanks, Gary!
I knew that was not taken today. Since we’re close to the same latitude. Not only that, we’re almost as far north as you.
(Gilligan responding to the professor’s big words joke)

Well, Jon, you DID have a lot of more important stuff on your mind yesterday!Whelp, you got me there GT. It’s my memory that’s slipping. I had to go back and look it up. That was a GAW by @chuck4570 back in 2020. Looks like he hasn’t been on the forum since then.
Your goodheartedness and generosity ran a groove into my neurons that made me think of you…
And if you are still out there @chuck4570, a 10 yr old dude says thanks!
That's not the kind of "clue" we like to see showing up.I checked out his profile and his last posting day in 2020 says he was hospitalized with COVID... I sure hope he's doing okay.![]()
Good point, Jeremy; capacity could certainly be the characteristic of choice! Both of my parents and my wife are from MI - my parents love to visit Traverse City whenever they go back.
I did no selling actually. I think the simple fact that it was much larger and could hold a lot more was the selling point - and I can’t argue with that logic!!
Sweet black/orange wood combo, JJ, with more blade variety than you can shake a stick at!
Fishing might be another of those activities, Rob, where the saying, "It's the thought that counts" is really relevant! It was a nice early morning GT, but, no fish, not even a bite !I got to get rid of all my lucky charms !
Thank you Mr. Jack. I was steaming into June as well, 90 degrees today.Hope you're having a great day Mr P![]()

Any chance the rest of the car will make an appearance? With a knife of course…
Nice pairing JeffView attachment 1833408I call this one KNIVES WITH FLOWERS.
My wife says the Siberian Iris are her favorites. Grandma’s legacy.View attachment 1833409I will call this one KNIVES WITH MY FAVORITE HAT.
My wife doesn’t like this hat. As for the knives, “that’s nice, dear”.
Very cool John
Thank you very much JJ, I reckon I am due a few adventures! They are certainly very special pieces!![]()

Thank you most kindly, Jack!!!
The perfect wood covered HHB beauty for the start of your Summer adventures; their is something very cool about the classic steam locomotives, too!![]()
Wonderful Wooden Wednesday choices my friend, both great patterns
I can relate!Nice
I don't think I have met a hat or cap the wife really likes. The lukewarm "it's okay" is not very convincing![]()
Yikes! That's pretty steamy!Thank you Mr. Jack. I was steaming into June as well, 90 degrees today.
I wonder what those two rail men thought about your lambs foot propping up that big locomotive ?![]()
This one is the A.Wright Lambfoot that Harry gave me. It’s rosewood. You’re thinking of my other LF...I'm from Michigan, Jeremy, and I've been to Traverse City, but I didn't know they had wolves there! Nor did I realize that a kid would MUCH prefer a Wolf box to an Elephant box; you must be quite a "salesman"!
Congrats on the new addition to your family, Jon!Looks like that young man couldn't bear to wait around until Independence Day to get his hands on a good knife!
Good to see that you're carrying some ID in case, heaven forbid, the boat goes down!
Hope you had an enjoyable time.
Sounds like a good idea, John.
I wish I knew enough about photography to recognize good light when I see it, so that I could choose a go-to spot for knife photos.
I always admire that jigged wood pair!
Once I have one photo of a knife that's actually in focus (sort of), I'll use it forever, Jeff! You'll rarely see knife pics from me that were taken the same day (or even same year) that I post them. Plus I kind of like that bare trees background; I wonder if I could erase the trapper and just insert the image of the knife of my choice somehow?
Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
Good wood (walnut IIRC) on that lambsfoot!

Ha! Just watch out for the “It’s fine”!Nice

I am fond of my Blade Forum friends, but, the sad part is something can happen to anyone and we might not ever know about it.![]()

My favorites out of all of yours, my friend.
Thanks, Jack.Nice pairing JeffThat's a good hat, Osh Kosh always reminds me of my eldest daughter, when she was a toddler, she had a whole bunch of their dungarees, including a set that would matched your hat!
I don't think my girlfriend likes a single one of my hats!
