Nice to see ya back Dylan. Looks like you’re putting the 88 to good use. 😎👍

Good to see you back with your always great pics.

Good to see you back again my friend .

Harry

Thank you, friends, it's good to be amongst you all - I'll try and be less scarce.

Good to see you around here again, Dylan. I can certainly see why that 88 is a pocket dominator. Hope things are getting better for you.

Thank you! You know what they say about "time" and all that. One day at a time. :)

Great to see you here Dylan, I hope you're doing OK buddy :) I like your tweed pouch, I don't think I've seen that set-up before, looks like a good idea  Kind of discreet too ;) :D

Thanks, Jack. I thought that "sporran" flask might catch your eye. It was a kind gift from a friend of mine who makes them with various tartan swatches and such. He used some old Harris Tweed on this one - quite a handy little receptacle ;). I thought I'd pair it with one of your slips today.

Wow, look at those matching covers on that fixed blade. 🤠
I can’t believe they stayed straight after glueing and clamping 😁

Morning. Another day in paradise ....

Great picture and a great view!
This is a view of the Flatirons over by Boulder. It’s a shot from the meadows which is about as close as we got this time.View attachment 1838970It was while I was taking this snapshot that my wife said “We really need to find a way to move out here”. Sure is expensive though.
Down in the left hand corner of this map, View attachment 1838969where the arrow is, then up the green trail on the right to the red cut-off back to the green trail on the left was just about right for our party. Last time, my son and I got up in there quite a ways, but this time, just a short up and down in the meadow was just right for this group.
Even without any heroic mountaineering, I thoroughly enjoyed the wild flowers. I think this is Silvery Lupine...View attachment 1838971Wild Rose...View attachment 1838972And I have no idea what this weed is, but I like it...View attachment 1838973We had to take the girls to the airport last night :( Sent them back to Georgia. Fortunately, they had a great time, albeit short. The airfare was money well spent as far as we’re concerned.
This is our last full day here. My son and I are going to finish repairing his roof. They had a heavy, wet snow a few weeks ago that put a heavy tree limb through his garage roof. So far, I’ve showed him how to cut out and replace the section of damaged plywood, and all we have to do is get the tarpaper and new shingles on. Saved him a lot of money, and he’s learning another skill.

Here are my knife photos. Sorry for rambling.View attachment 1838974View attachment 1838975View attachment 1838976Have a great Whittler Wednesday.
Looks like a nice spot you’re visiting, Jeff
I really like the half stops on the Copperhead , wonder what other Case patterns have them ?

Swayback and mini trapper both have half stops. My ‘70s Barlow also has them.
Carrying these two today. A White Owl and the Eureka. The White Owl has really lost a lot of its color but I could open and close this thing all day, it buttery smooth. 😊View attachment 1839104
Nice to see the Eureka again, Todd.

I don't know Todd, really like that bleached metamorphosis on the 68  It is after all a WHITE Owl:cool: Must be the properties of your sweat.....have seen an 35 Cougar Claw with similar look, fine pairing of knives too.

You're right about the ultra smooth opening on those knives, who needs a half stop handicap? :D

Thanks, Will

Primble Primble Elijah J's choice motivated me to dig out one of Mr Hampton's efforts for today's carry, similar shield. Can't ask for advice from my Minx...she just tells me to shut it as she's totally preoccupied with raging from one window sill to the next as there are Jackdaws and Pigeons outside on the terrace :D She uses some foul language when she sees them, gnashing and snarling:eek: Later on it will be mindless time asleep in the chair you want to sit in...master in your own home? Forget it.🐾

Sounds like the treatment I get around here sometimes Will. Relentless chatter and whining and pawing to get me out of bed for an early morning feeding, then plops down on the counter with his head laid back , expecting a good long petting. After that, he disappears. I look around and he's found a place to go back to sleep. 😸

Happy that I should inspire you to dig out that mighty fine Hampton. 😲   ☺️
