Thank you very much, Jack!!! I think I picked it up 40+ years ago and was attracted to the fine workmanship. :)
I was gifted mine in 1981, a 'lunchbox special' given to me by one of Joseph Rodgers last apprentices 👍
Your two Barlows look they were made to hang out with other; a beautifully matched weekend pair!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks JJ, I suspect they're going to be seeing a lot of each other these next couple of weeks 😁😉👍
Grabbed a couple Lambsfoot slicers today. :)
Happy Double Lambsfoot Day my friend 😁😎👍
Great pic 😎🙂👍

Back to my roots, more or less with a Buck 303
Carrying the one on the bottom.
>> The one on the top is my old Camillus-made Buck that I carried everyday for a goodly number of years.
>> The one in the middle is a 1990's item, made after the change to 420HC, but before the change to the "Edge 2000" super hollow grind.
>> The one I'm carrying is more or less current production.

Same old peanut for months now. Built the drip system for my wife’s garden. I’ll admit, I could have benefited from a bigger knife cutting the 5/8” tubing be we got the job done.

Get yourself a a cutter for PEX plumbing tubes, works beautifully on hose lines and other heavy tubing. $ 20.00 will do ya good clean and straight cuts.

Here is one of my shore photos CelloDan CelloDan . Before you were walking PEI today (I assume this was sunset for you) we were walking the Porter Preserve. Two very special parts of our maritime shores.

Lovely photo Dan. I needed to look twice to see you didn't imbed your knife tip into the ledges. o_O

Thanks, but I don't think it's a rehandle, although it could be. I bought it second hand with no box/paperwork, so I've never actually known what it is. Schrade made the 5OT with wood handles for both their Federal Duck Stamp knives and Ducks Unlimited. The knife I have doesn't have any badging, nor a blade etch, but otherwise looks just like the DU knives which featured oak handles.

Thanks for the explanation and the closeup photo! Sure looks like oak, huh?

With the vast variety that Schrade cranked out over the years, I should know not to make assumptions.
I agree! And nice Schrades
Thanks, my friend!
